Wisconsin at Purdue
Both these teams are far better than they appeared to be in September.
Both still have a way to go.
Purdue is clearly the most improved team in the Big Ten this year. If Darrell Hazell keeps this up, he’ll have the Boilermakers at a bowl game next year. Probably even a pretty good one.
But I have to say “next year” because Purdue is already 3-6 and, improved or not, I just don’t think it can slow down Wisconsin’s running game. A thin layer of Saran Wrap could stop the Badgers’ passing game, but that running game is beyond the reach of all but the most elite defenses, and Purdue doesn’t have one of those.
The pick: Wisconsin 34, Purdue 10
