Recapping College Football’s Historically Chaotic Week 6

Stanford Notre Dame

No. 9 Notre Dame 17, No. 14 Stanford 14
Thanks to a stifling run defense and some late-game heroics from Everett Golson, the Fighting Irish were able to knock off Stanford. Playing at home on a cold, rainy afternoon, Notre Dame held the Cardinal to just 47 yards rushing and dug deep late in the fourth quarter to take the lead. Facing a fourth-and-11 from the Stanford 23 with just over a minute to go, Golson found a wide-open Ben Koyack in the back of the end zone for the game-winning touchdown. For the Irish, it was a huge victory with their showdown against Florida State just two weeks away.
