5. Eric Decker, New York Jets
Much like Moreno, Decker has Peyton Manning and the Broncos’ offense to thank for a hefty payday (five years, $36 million). Decker had 85 catches in 2012 and 87 in 2013 and while he may approach that volume again in the New York Jets’ offense, he’ll be hard pressed to match the 1,176 yards and 12 touchdowns he averaged with Manning.
Decker is a nice No. 2 receiver in the NFL, but he will have to be a No. 1 guy for the Jets and shaky quarterback Geno Smith. He’ll almost certainly face an incredibly difficult, uphill climb trying to establish himself as a legit top wideout, especially without much help from the rest of Gang Green’s receiving corps, which is among the weakest in the NFL.
