1. Darren McFadden, Oakland Raiders
You might see his name and still think “elite fantasy running back” – you might be stuck in 2010. That year he racked up 1,664 yards from scrimmage with 17 total touchdowns but in the three seasons since, he’s started just 26 games and averaged just 773 yards from scrimmage per year. McFadden will turn just 27 this season, but the Raiders’ signing of Maurice Jones-Drew signals that Oakland does not have faith that McFadden can be its workhorse of the future.
In 2011 McFadden played in just seven games, in 2012 he suited up for 12 and last year he only saw action in 10. In 2013 he rushed for just 379 yards on 114 carries (3.3 ypc) and added five touchdowns. He also had just 17 receptions for 108 yards and no scores.
The Raiders will likely have a terrible offense this season and McFadden isn’t someone you should even consider drafting.
