Down on the Farm: A Visit to “MoonDog Country”

Franklin Rogers Park 4

This is my second summer covering the Northwoods League and the fifth ballpark I’ve visited and reviewed. Now more than two decades old, the college wooden bat league remains as popular as ever among enthusiastic fans.

Northwoods has more teams (18), draws more spectators (nearly 1 million combined) and plays more games (72) than any other summer college baseball league.
