Down on the Farm: Fargo Lives up to Expectations

Newman Outdoor Field 6

On a glorious summer afternoon I attended a Fargo-Moorhead game on the campus of North Dakota State University. At a college known more for basketball and football success, baseball has an outstanding venue, especially for a northern school.

The seating is mainly uncovered to allow optimal sun during short summers up here. Fans consistently watch quality baseball, with affordable tickets, a spacious concourse offering unique regional food (fried pickles, lemon shake-ups, cheese curds, bacon-wrapped hot dogs and more) and adult beverage selections at reasonable prices.
