A dozen managers on MLB’s 2014 hot seat

9. Robin Ventura, Chicago White Sox

Robin Ventura

I’m likely being too harsh on Ventura, but his honeymoon ended with the South Siders’ 99-loss season last year. The White Sox are within shouting distance of .500 this year, but aren’t making noise in the division despite having staff ace Chris Sale and likely AL Rookie of the Year Jose Abreu.

The White Sox can always bring Ozzie Guillen out of mothballs and at least create excitement and controversy.
