A dozen managers on MLB’s 2014 hot seat

2. Ron Gardenhire, Minnesota Twins

Ron Gardenhire

The Twins’ success throughout the 2000s have given Gardenhire deserved job security over the past four years. But this is a “what have you done lately” industry, and I do not expect Gardenhire to survive what could very well be the Twins’ fourth consecutive losing season.

The Target Field honeymoon has come to an end, especially with the Twins’ hosting of the All-Star Game now in the past. There is disposable income in Minneapolis, but the fans are not going to come back without a return to respectability.
