[tps_header]8. San Francisco 49ers running backs[/tps_header]
The 49ers could hand the ball of on every offensive down and still not have enough carries to satisfy their extremely talented stable of running backs. Frank Gore is, and has been, the workhorse for San Francisco. In 2013 Gore rushed for 1,128 yards on 276 carries (4.1 yards per carry) and nine touchdowns.
The combination of Kendall Hunter (358 yards and three touchdowns in 2013) and LaMichael James have loads of talent as well. Add in rookie second-round pick Carlos Hyde and an uber-talented wild card in Marcus Lattimore and you’ve got the deepest running back group in the league. The 49ers also have a reliable fullback in Bruce Miller, which certainly doesn’t hurt.
