Yogi Ferrell, guard
2013-14 stat line: 17.3 ppg, 3.9 apg, 3.0 rpg
2014-15 outlook: There is no doubt Ferrell is one of the hardest-working and most dedicated players in the conference. He increased his scoring average by nearly 10 points per game and shot a conference-best 40 percent from three-point range this season. Despite his increased efficiency in scoring, the IU guard still had trouble handling the ball at teams, which often led to Hoosier losses.
If Indiana wants to regroup next season and rejoin the nation’s elite, it will go through their star guard. When Ferrell was turning the ball over, Indiana was struggling, as is so often the case with point guards. Ferrell will continue his strong shooting next season, but he needs to shift his focus this offseason to become a smarter basketball player and learn to take better care of the basketball.
