Frank Kaminsky, center
2013-14 stat line: 13.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 1.7 bpg
2014-15 outlook: Making the biggest splash of the 2013-14 season was the big man from Wisconsin who went from averaging 4.2 points and 1.8 rebounds to 13.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. It’s not usually surprising to see a guy with a frame like Kaminsky learn how to use his body in major college basketball and make huge strides, but to make as much of a leap as he did was incredible.
The Badgers will need his interior presence again to enjoy an inside-out offense that makes it difficult for defenses to guard. Kaminsky’s ability to block and alter shots at the defensive end will also force teams to take more shots away from the basket, which is what Wisconsin wants. If they can get another solid year from Kaminsky, the Badgers will be back in the Final Four.
