[tps_header]3. Pierre Desir, CB, Lindenwood[/tps_header]
Desir is a super-athletic cornerback with great size for the position. At 6-1 and 198 pounds to go along with 33-inch arms and 9.5-inch hands, he has an ideal build. While his 4.59 40-yard dash at the combine wasn’t impressive, his 6.86 three-cone drill was. He also topped all corners with a 133-inch broad jump.
Desir possesses excellent ball skills and is a playmaker. He has very good play-recognition skills and really can come up and help against the run. He sets the edge well and makes ball carriers react to him, not the other way around. His cover skills need refinement but are solid and will improve. His best fit would be in a cover-2 or press-man scheme.
Bottom line: he’s a playmaker at cornerback and those don’t grow on trees.
