WWE’s Extreme Rules pay-per-view takes place this Sunday and it appears that every member of The Shield will come out of the event with a title around his waist.
Dean Ambrose has a chance to win the United States Championship while Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have the chance to win the Tag Team Championships.
The Shield has become so dominant lately that it seems like the group has been around for longer than they actually have. The group’s debut did not come until Survivor Series in November.
In a Triple Threat match featuring CM Punk defending his WWE title against Ryback and John Cena, The Shield made its legendary debut. Ryback had a chance to win the match by pinning Cena when The Shield interfered and took out Ryback, which included putting him through a table. Punk would take advantage by pinning Cena and retaining his title.
Every stable has its debut and it is important to reflect back and see how much has happened since that point in time.
