Fantasy Baseball Daily Picks

Guys I Like

SP Justin Masterson

He can be had for a pretty good price, and though he is not off to a great start, he has typically pitched well against the White Sox.  In his career, Masterson has a 2.31 ERA and a 1.23 WHIP in 15 games against Chicago. Could be a nice value play.

1B Albert Pujols

Yep, I’m telling you to start Pujols again. The price is still down, and the offense around him is starting to heat up. I can feel the major breakout coming. You’ll want to have him in your lineup when it does.

2B Howie Kendrick

One of those guys on the Angels who has been hitting well lately is Howie Kendrick. I like him to continue the strong hitting on Thursday.

Guys I Don’t Like

SP Brandon Morrow

Call this one a hunch, but I don’t think Morrow will deliver great value tomorrow. The Angels’ offense seems to be heating up, and Morrow is 0-3 with a 5.03 ERA and 1.62 WHIP lifetime against the Angels.

SS Alexei Ramirez

With a thin roster of games, you may tempted to go for the value play of Alexei Ramirez at shortstop. I wouldn’t. Not only is Alexei off to his typically slow start, but he is just 3-25 lifetime off of Justin Masterson.
