We’re going non-sports here for a moment. Why? Because we can.

I just ran across this post at Funny or Die entitled “The 120 Best Dancing GIFs of All Time!” And while all of them are compelling in their own way, 10 in particular stood out among the rest for me. So I’ve re-posted them below for your amusement.

Get to know Zach Galifianakis, the comedian who “hates to be loved”

Hangover 2 opens this weekend, and I’m not sure if I’m more excited or terrified. I very much enjoyed the first movie and am nervous that the sequel will not be nearly as good, a lesson history has taught me over and over and over again.

But even if the script sucks and even if it ends up being too much like the first one and even if it only produces 50% of the laughs that the first Hangover did, the flick has the following three things going for it:

  • Ed Helms (aka Nard Dog from The Office)
  • Ken Joeng (aka Senor Change from Community)
  • Zach Galifianakis

As MSF readers know, I love Zach Galifianakis. He is both refreshing and hilarious, and I love seeing guys who have worked hard toiling in obscurity for years and years finally hit it big and get the acclaim they deserve.

For anyone else who loves Galifianakis, or just for anyone excited about seeing Hangover 2 when it opens this weekend, Time.com published a great profile of Galifianakis last week. I just found it today, and it’s well worth the click.

Video Clips for Schmucks: The Best of Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, and Zach Galifianakis

Off-topic alert! Off-topic alert! It’s still July and sports are still relatively boring (sorry, but T.O. in Cincy isn’t interesting until the season starts) so I’m going to trust that you don’t mind me foregoing an analysis of the White Sox 6-5 comeback win last night (yeeeyessss!) when the alternative is bringing in some professional entertainers to make you laugh.

When I first heard the phrase Dinner for Schmucks my initial thought was that someone was referring to a luncheon of MSF writers moderated by Ken Rosenthal. Naturally, I was excited.

But when I found out the truth, that Dinner for Schmucks is actually a movie starring Steve Carell, Zach Galifianakis, and Paul Rudd, I just started laughing. I hadn’t seen the previews, hadn’t seen the now ubiquitous “He’s friends with Morgan Freeman!” line, hadn’t even seen a screenshot of Galfianakis in a cape; no, I just figured I’d get a head start on my laughing because how could a movie with those three schmucks not be hilarious?

It was exactly the same thought I had this morning when I saw that Carell had joined Galifiankis for an interview while sitting on two chairs placed in between two potted ferns. And, of course, the latest edition of Between Two Ferns did not disappoint. It is embedded below, along with a whole host of other funny video clips involving Carell, Galifianakis, and Rudd.

10 Hilarious YouTube Moments with Zach Galifianakis

best zach galifianakis videos

Ever since seeing him steal the show in The Hangover – and realizing that he reminds me uncannily of MSF contributor Nick Gerlach – Zach Galifianakis has quickly become one of my favorite comedians.

How do I know that he is one of my favorites? Well after laughing earlier tonight while Galifianakis and Kristen Wiig somehow made an otherwise pedestrian skit about bedets funny, I thought to myself, “you know what? I would probably laugh hysterically just watching Zach Galifianakis read the phone book.”

And ultimately, that is the standard by which all comedians should be measured. Because if someone can make you laugh while reading the phone book, you might be a tool, but they are definitely hilarious.
