Yesterday the world heard the much anticipated Tiger Woods text message in which he implores one of his side ladies to remove her name from her voice mail message.

We also got to read Tiger’s statement, which doubled as a half apology and perhaps ill-timed diatribe against the media.

What stories will people be talking today?

Rachel Uchitel claiming that she was lying about not having an affair the Tiger, the current status of Tiger and Elin’s marriage and prenup, and the spot-on comments by Elin’s friend and Tiger’s colleague Jesper Parnevik.

Tiger Woods Releases Statement on Website

Since we jumped all over the release of the Tiger Woods voicemail messages to alleged mistress Jaimee Grubbs this morning, I think it’s only fair that we also allow Tiger to present his side of this sordid, salacious, yet fascinating story.

While we all wondered whether Tiger would address the maelstrom of controversy that grows by the day, he apparently hunkered down at the computer (or dictated while someone else was hunkered down at the computer) to offer his thoughts on the matter.

One White Guy’s Reaction to the Tiger Woods Story as It Gets More Salacious by the Second

If you do a quick perusal of our golf coverage here at MSF it will be pretty clear to you that I am much more of a Tiger Woods fan than I am a golf fan.

I always have been, and I probably always be.

I enjoy playing the game, although I do not play it all that much. And I enjoy watching the game, although I do not watch it all that much if Tiger is not playing nor a prominent story.

For me, Tiger Woods is golf, and I have followed him as much as I’ve followed any athlete over the last decade.

Part of the reason for that is because Tiger is so dominant at his sport, so fascinating to watch from an athletic perspective, so famous, so wrapped in sporting mythology, and so ubiquitous.
