NBA owners reject Sacramento Kings move to Seattle

While we’ve been covering this pretty extensively over the past few weeks and everyone knew this was coming, the NBA officially killed the Sacramento Kings’ proposed move to Seattle on Wednesday. The NBA owners voted Wednesday to reject the move with a 22-8 vote.

Maloof brothers will only sell Sacramento Kings to Seattle group

News broke on Saturday that the Maloof brothers (Joe and Gavin) will only agree to sell the Sacramento Kings to the Seattle-based group headed by Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Chris Hansen. If the NBA doesn’t approve a move to Seattle, the Maloofs apparently have a backup plan.

NHL Expansion Would Be A Serious Mistake

Despite bad financial news for the league, there’s been talk that the NHL might be in the mood for expanding to 32 teams from the current 30, with the Toronto area and Quebec City being the frontrunners.
