Cubs fans, you can now exhale.
The Cubs have finally won their first game, avoiding the series sweep by Atlanta. The performance of starting pitcher Randy Wells, and outfielder prospect Tyler Colvin, is great news for the Cubs.
Randy Wells, in my opinion the Cubs’ best pitcher, pitched a phenomenal, scoreless six innings. Wells walked two and only struck out one, but only gave up a modest six hits. Wells’ performance is a breath of fresh air after two tough losses, one being a season opener to forget.

Taking control of the NL Central this year hasn’t been easy. 4 teams out of the 6 are still in contention for a division title, and things could just be heating up.
