It’s just about that time my NBA crowd. Well, actually it’s well past ‘that’ time due to the foolishness experienced during this past off-season.
All of that is well behind us now, and since the lockout ended there have been numerous signings, trades, and a mess of pre-season games already played. All this can only mean that the NBA season is right around the corner, and it’s time to finally rank each team appropriately from top to bottom.
Chris Bosh to the Lakers? Antawn Jamison to the Cavs? Danny Granger to Minnesota?
Well everyone, this past week of NBA ball has mainly been concentrated on trade rumors. I mean, no surprise there with the February trade deadline right around the corner.
But amidst all this trade rumble, there were games to be played.
How did the Cavs handle their current hot streak? How and why are the Thunder playing so great right now? Did the Wizards get lost in the “Arenas mess” ? How are the Celts doing without KG?

Hey everyone. It’s been a while since my last NBA Power Rankings, but you know how it can be during the holidays. Hectic, busy, and confused I was.
But plan on the weekly NBA Power Rankings being here until the end of season. And this week, I’ve also added Home (H) and Away (A) records for each team as well.
This was a pretty decent week of ball, huh? We had a couple upsets, streaks broken and continued, and just good ‘ol NBA basketball.

Ok, so maybe my Week 4 (You) rankings did not go as planned, so I’m going back to the classic style, my original weekly method for the NBA Power Rankings.
This past week of ball was pretty competitive. It was also a record tying week for some, unfortunately…(cough) New Jersey.
There’s also the normal swirl of Iverson rumors, but this time to Philly? Hmm. Sounds interesting.

Hey guys! First off, let me apologize, as to the fact that our last Power Ranking could not be posted due to a few minor server issues last week. So no jumps and drops this week, as there was no Week 3.

Hey knuckle-heads! Great week of ball, as we’ve had a couple of continued great starts, a few great performances, and also an upset or two. Let me remind you that there are no undefeated teams left, as each fell at least once this past week.
I certainly appreciated all of the feedback I received for my last Power Rankings, as I had both positive and negative comments.

I hope all of you enjoyed the NBA’s opening week, I sure did. Some great teams were on display, with some poor starts and some surprising starts as well.
