I hesitate to give anyone credit for how the schedule has played out, but whether it be by luck or by design, the college hoops slate has been terrific in the first week of post-football action.

College hoops is essentially taking a few days off for Christmas, but after a number of close games and exciting finishes on Thursday night, I am almost as excited for conference play to begin as my four-year-old is for Christmas. I say “almost” because there’s pretty much no way I will ever be as excited about anything as she is right now.
Some teams are entering league play brimming with confidence based on their recent performances while others are trying to prevent things from snowballing in the wake of a few losses. Here’s my weekly look at college basketball’s risers and fallers. [Read more...]

If the idea of battling throngs of coffee-fueled shoppers just to get that incredible deal on a comforter set or bargain-basement laptop makes you feel like slamming your TV-remote hand in a car door over and over, then you will find this guide to this year’s Black Friday (November 25th) college football action worthwhile.

It’s been a week of new features here at MSF, and we have another for you today.
This week we have unveiled the fantasy-only portion of the site, our Fantasy Football 3-2-1 video series (Click here for Episode 1 and Episode 2), and later today we’ll have our first fantasy football Friday live chat.
This morning we add to that list our weekly Friday Football Preview Podcast.
Each week on Friday morning I’ll be giving you my NFL locks of the week (ATS, of course), the must-watch game, and an upset alert. I’ll also be bringing in guests to preview the biggest games and storylines for that weekend.
And if the first episode is any indication, the Friday Football Preview is going to be a hell of a lot of fun on a weekly basis.
This post and all of our weekly Ohio State previews are made possible by Steamatic by Carrara Companies, which proudly provides restoration, cleaning, and construction services to all of Central and Northeast Ohio including Columbus, Cleveland, Akron and the surrounding areas.

Ohio State is 2-1 all-time against the Miami Hurricanes. Here we have a regular season rematch of the 2003 Fiesta Bowl and BCS Championship when the Buckeyes won in double overtime 31-24.
Both teams have realistic National Championship goals this year and winning this game is the first stepping stone in that direction. Ohio State and Miami had Thursday night games last week and are sure to be prepared to prove something against each other in what promises to be an outstanding game.
Champs Sports Bowl
Miami Hurricanes -3 vs. Wisconsin Badgers
This to me is one of the best games of the Bowl Season.
If these two teams were cars the Hurricanes would be a Porsche and the Badgers would be a Hummer, which makes this a classic game of speed vs. brawn.

In what has seemingly been the year of upsets in college football, it’s been almost a guarantee that a highly ranked team will go down every week.
With three matchups between ranked teams this week, we know for certain that at least three ranked teams will lose. But again, that doesn’t mean the other ranked teams are safe, and more than one should be on upset alert this week.
