Tonight, for the first time in many weeks, I will actually pay attention to the NFL.
I have been actively avoiding reading and talking about the NFL as much as possible during the nonsense that has been the labor debate and lockout, as I’m sure many of you have too. Thanks to the mainstream media’s obsession with all things football, it makes doing so very difficult; but I promise I’ve given it my best effort.
I am lifting the football embargo tonight, however, because I love the draft.
Yep, we’re doing it again. We’re live blogging tonight’s NCAA Tournament action – the second night of Sweet 16 games – with various members of the MSF writing crew as well as our friends from Rumors and Rants.
So once the games start, head on over here and join us for the most riveting, irreverent, humorous and occasionally insightful basketball commentary you will find anywhere. At least, that’s the plan.

We had so much fun with today’s live blog of the White Sox-Rays game that we’ve decided to do another one tomorrow. I probably will only be able to be there for a part of it, but KVB and possibly Rizdac, Kaner, and ChiSox40 should be there to provide all kinds of insightful, humorous, and Sox-centric commentary. We’re still learning how to use the program so I apologize in advance for any hiccups, but we will be making this a regular event here at Midwest Sports Fans and we hope you will join us tomorrow.

Top of the 1st: Great start for John Danks. Faces the minimum and gets a strikeout of Joe Mauer to end it. Huge play by Juan Uribe to be in the right spot for the line drive and double up Denard Span.
Does anyone else think that these announcers are horrible? Ron Darling said that Joe Mauer “hits .450 in batting practice.” Umm, I hope he hits a little better than .450 in BP.
