The mandate is clear for Charlie Weis and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in 2009: make drastic improvements – as in, BCS-worthy improvements – or Weis will likely be fired and former phenom Jimmy Clausen will forever be known as a highly recruited bust who never brought the Irish back to the promised land.
