Star of the Harry Potter film series, Daniel Radcliffe, was hosting SNL last night. I was never a fan of Harry Potter, but I was pretty excited for tonight’s show. Radcliffe is a big star with a big following, and the SNL cast members and writers always try and show up for such occasions.

Cold Opening

SNL opened with Mitt Romney at a diner in South Carolina. Romney’s SNL character is just like him in real life, very similar to a human robot, like when he says his human sons enjoy watching football.

The main joke of the bit was about Romney’s recent comments on how he enjoys firing people. They fit this joke in the skit when Romney kept on removing or “firing” items from his meal. Okay start for the show, and Jason Sudeikis’ impression of Romney is pretty solid.

Grade: B-

Opening Monologue

Daniel Radcliffe came out and quickly told the audience that he didn’t want to do any Harry Potter skits. This disappointed Dumbledore ( working at Harry Pottery Barn) and Harry Pothead. Strong opening and Daniel Radcliffe seemed very comfortable on stage.

Grade: B+

Ricky Gervais at The Golden Globes

Sudeikis is back as Ricky Gervais and his impression is spot on. Ricky takes a few jabs at some clebs and then they mention the other award shows he will be host. This is where the bit stalled, as none of the other award shows were as funny as the Golden Globes.

Grade: C+

Target Lady

It’s been a while since we have seen the Target Lady, and it was refreshing to finally see her back. I also liked Daniel’s character, the creepy, mullet-sporting employee. He has a crush on the Target Lady and finally at the end of the bit he works up enough courage to ask her out. Also plenty of silly Target Lady quotes.

Grade: B (Approved!!!)

You Can Do Anything!

Poking fun at this generation’s group of people that think they are talented just because they have a website or they post videos on YouTube. Radcliffe played an Irish step dancing Chinese calligraphy artist was funny, and he showed some pretty good dance moves.

Grade: B

Spin the Bottle

This seemed like a Digital Short and was shot very similar to one too. Although it wasn’t, it still was a good bit. Radcliffe’s character is trying to steal a kiss from a girl he likes during a game of spin the bottle, but he keeps on getting stuck on homeless people. Been there before.

Grade: B-

Delaware Fellas

Apparently it cost 130 bucks to go see Jersey Boys, but the fine folks in Delaware have a cheaper alternative for you: the Delaware Fellas. First bad sketch of the night, but I did like crazy Joe Biden.

Grade: C-

Harry Potter in 2020

Bad news for Daniel, they did a Harry sketch, but at least it was hilarious. It’s the year 2020 and after Harry killed Voldemort he doesn’t have much to with his life so he is reliving his glory years at Hogwarts. All of Harry’s friends have grown up and become very successful, while Harry is playing Quidditch alone and making cheering noises.

Grade: A-

Weekend Update

I really enjoyed this Weekend Update, mostly because Nicolas Fehn wasn’t in it. Plenty of funny headlines, like 5 second Raul and the teen’s booming drug business.

The ”Muammar Gaddafi’s Two Best Friends from Growing Up” was one of my favorite character on Update. It’s too bad that Gaddafi died, now we can never see them again . . . wait forget I ever said that. Now we have ”Kim Jong Un’s Two Best Friends from Growing Up” which is still pretty solid. And Casey Anthony’s dog was both terrifying and hilarious at the same time.

Grade: A-

X27 Theatre: 2012 Family

This was a look at the modern family from the future. Okay sketch. A few bright spots were wolverines as pets in the future and Taylor Swift will assassinate a president.

Grade: C

Glenda Okones

Kristen Wiig’s bitchy Glenda Okones is a no-nonsense gal who is running for Mayor. Although this bit wasn’t too funny, I thought Okones had potential and a few good quotes, but nothing great.

Grade: C+

Glenda Okones: Part 2

I didn’t expect to see Glenda again after the commercial break, but I am glad I did. She likes her youngest child more than her oldest. Also she doesn’t care about the environment, so I am guessing she is a Republican.

Grade: B

The Jay Pharoah Show

This was a gamble by Jay Pharoah and SNL. Those of you who don’t tune into SNL might not get this sketch. But basically Pharoah and Radcliffe play themselves in Jay’s talk show. Jay asks Daniel some questions about himself and then Jay follows up with an impression of a famous celebrity.

After you finish watching the bit you can tell that Jay is only good at doing impressions on the Jay Pharoah Show. But he is very bad at everything else, like interviewing the guests. The Jay Pharoah show symbolizes Jay on SNL. Basically he is saying that SNL only thinks he is good for impressions, but he want to do other things like actual characters.

I really liked this sketch and appreciate the gamble they took. I hope this isn’t the last we are hearing about this.

Grade: A

Glenda Okones: Part 3

Glenda is back and she admitting that she has attacked her own mother, and I am not surprised. I kinda liked Glenda Okones and I am happy we saw more of her. She has my vote.

Grade: B-

Exit Polls

A lot of time Kristen Wiig is funnier when she plays a more mild weirdo, sort of like her character in Bridesmades. Normally the last sketch is a very weird one, but this one was normal and pretty good. It even could of fit in the beginning of the show.

Grade: B+

Headz Up

This new app called Headz Up will alert people of their surroundings because they can’t look up because they are completely distracted by their smart phones. Okay commercial, my favorite alert was “Your Wife is Talking”.

Grade: C

Random Thoughts

“Or a Democrat voting sarcastically”

“Approved!!!”

Really only 56% of Mormons believe that America is ready for a Mormon president? That has to be the most rational thing they believe in.

I think its save to say that Mitt Romney is the Republicans saftey school.

“If you’re a spaceman, legally you have to tell me”

Update: Thanks to Twitter, this post caught the attention of Gatorade president Sarah Robb O’Hagan (@SarahRobbOh). She enjoyed our rundown of the funniest Gatorade baths ever, and she also sent me the wall mural from Gatorade’s headquarters with some of their favorite Gatorade baths of all-time. It’s very cool. You’ll see it at the end of the post.

The Gatorade bath is a tradition like few others in sports.

After most monumental wins in football – specifically Super Bowls, national championship games, especially important and/or meaningful bowl games, or season-ending victories over hated rivals – such a celebration can be expected. The tradition began with the New York Giants in the mid-1980s and continues into today with no signs of slowing down.

While the sentimental among us enjoy the Gatorade bath because it symbolizes the triumph of a team of men on the field of athletic battle and the ultimate moment of shared jubilation and respect between coach and player, I enjoy Gatorade baths for a far different reason.

Pictures and videos of them can be laugh-lout-loud hilarious.

So here is my personal ode to the Gatorade bath, with the 28 funniest Gatorade baths of all-time, presented in no particular order other than saving the best ones for last.

Update: Actually, I was mistaken. I’m not quite sure how I forgot about one of my favorite Gatorade bath pictures of all time, but I did. Thankfully, loyal Tweeters like @jimkanicki are here to remind me of the error of my ways. For goodness sakes, this pic is the background of Spencer Hall’s Twitter page!

Here is the great Howard Schnellenberger (the man who laid the foundation at The U, for those too young to remember) being doused by his team at Florida Atlantic.

**********
There are my choices. I went through hundreds of pictures and videos to narrow the list down, but there certainly could be many more funny ones out there. Feel free to post links below.

Random thought: I suppose I should change the number in the title to 29 considering that there are technically now 29 images and videos with the addition of the Schellenberger picture, but since one of the pics is an elephant peeing on Les Miles, we won’t count that as a Gatorade bath.

Update: And here is the picture of the mural at Gatorade HQ sent to me by Sarah Robb O’Hagan:

And that is the subject of today's photo story.

It’s been a while since our last photo story on Andrew Luck and Peyton Manning, but the long hiatus has ended, inspired by – who else? – Tim Tebow.

Actually, this newest photo story is inspired less by Tebow and more by the thoughts and fears that have to be percolating in the minds of the Broncos’ opponents for this week, the New England Patriots. No matter how confident Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the rest of the Patriots may appear, the reality is that the #1 seeded Patriots, who have not won a playoff game since 2007, have all of the pressure on them this week.

Tim Tebow has taken Denver further than anyone could have imagined, and he had one of the best overall playoff performances by any QB ever against Pittsburgh to cement his hold on the starting position. He’s playing with house money this week. So too are John Fox and the rest of the Broncos. Of course they have the natural pressure of wanting and yearning to win, but Denver doesn’t have the added pressure of being expected to win and knowing that their window to get back to the Super Bowl is closing.

New England does. Couple that with the unpredictability and versatility of a Denver offense that can know pick up 30+ yard chunks in clutch moments, and you can bet that Tebow and the Broncos have put the proverbial “fear of god” into the Patriots. And that is the subject of today’s photo story.

Well, because it's not supposed to be "the shocker" as defined by Urban Dictionary. It's actually the "Cougar Paw," a hand gesture the university has been using since 1953.

Well, because it’s not supposed to be “the shocker” as defined by Urban Dictionary. (Warning: link not safe for the faint of heart, parents of any age, or Rick Santorum.)

Here is the picture, and then in true Paul Harvey style…the rest of the story.

Image source: Shirts With Random Triangles

Admittedly, when I first saw the billboard I thought it was just an unfortunately timed photo that some 40-something marketing person didn’t realize had an entirely different and lascivious meaning. It wasn’t until Robert Crowe posted the picture in our MSF Facebook group, and then Josh Tinley – as he is wont to do – let us know about the actual origin of this hand gesture as it relates to Houston sports, that the billboard choice finally made sense.

Here is the basic summary, via Wikipedia, plus the “graphcial representation” of the Cougar Paw:

The Cougar Paw is a popular hand sign used by University of Houston students, faculty, alumni, and athletics fans to represent camaraderie and support. The Cougar Paw tradition was adopted through several athletics events between the University of Houston and the University of Texas.

The first time UH played Texas in American football was in 1953. Since this was their first meeting, members of Alpha Phi Omega—the service fraternity in charge of taking care of Shasta I, the university’s mascot—brought her to the game. During the trip, Shasta’s front paw was caught in the cage door and one toe was cut off. At the game, several Longhorn players saw what had happened and began taunting UH players by holding up their hands with the ring finger bent, suggesting the Cougars were invalids. Texas went on to win this game 28–7. UH students had been using the victory sign as a hand signal up to that time, but began using the bent-finger sign as a reminder that they would remember the taunts.

The Cougars didn’t play the Longhorns again until 1968. With UH fans holding up the new sign of Cougar pride, UH played UT to a 20–20 tie. They didn’t meet again until 1976, the first year UH was a member of the Southwest Conference. In front of a record crowd at Texas’ Memorial Stadium, UH defeated UT 30–0–a rout that signaled the beginning of the end for legendary Texas coach Darrell Royal. This solidified the use of the Cougar Paw as a tradition.

So there you have it, the rest of the story. Case Keenum is not giving “the shocker” sign to a female in the stands. He’s just showing his Cougar pride.

The story of the Cougar Paw certainly makes the billboard choice much more understandable, though you wonder how many conversations went back and forth considering the unintended interpretations. The Cougar Paw even shows up on the Wikipedia page for the shocker hand gesture.

Final verdict: the University of Houston is vindicated. They have been using this hand gesture his 1953, which I have to assume is far, far earlier than “the shocker” hand gesture earned the stature it has today.

From time to time this season, I’ve killed time on Sunday nights while watching SNF by compiling the most entertaining images, GIFs, and videos from the day in professional football. Since this is the final week of the regular season, I can’t pass up my final opportunity for one last trip to the NFL’s lighter side.

This animated GIF is probably my favorite of the week. It is Bills’ defensive back Drayton Florence making an obvious flop attempt, which would have made it perfect for this post I did last week on flopping in professional sports.

GIF source: MockSession via Cosby Sweaters

If Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan had been watching this, he might have responded thusly:

GIF source: SBNation

Instead, Ryan had to watch his own defense play in the first half Sunday night, which induced this outburst. Dallas trailed 21-0 at the half, with Ryan’s defense looking totally out of sorts. It led to this classic image of Jerruh Jones:

But there may yet be hope for Jerruh and Rob. As I type this, the Cowboys are down 21-7 and driving with the 3rd quarter near its close. Could they complete the comeback? One team that couldn’t was the Jets, coached by Rob’s brother Rex, whose Jets couldn’t find a way to sneak into the playoffs and reel off another improbable run to the AFC Championship Game.

You’re done Rex.

But you know who is not done? The Green Bay Packers, who won today despite sitting superstar starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Superstar backup quarterback Matt Flynn started in his place, setting franchise yards for yards and TDs in a single game. File that away for trivia use later in life.

Before the game, Rodgers continued his weekly tradition of photobombing the Packers’ team captain photo. Happy New Year!

But back to people who are done…how about this streaker, who gets taken to the turf by the Packers’ Brad Jones.

Image credit: Morry Gash/AP via Reddit

**********

Those are my favorites from Week 17. What are yours? If I missed any classic images/GIFs/videos, feel free to post in the comment section.

Now, apropos of nothing, let’s let Chris Bosh take us out.

GIF source: Reddit

And in related news, the Cowboys just scored another TD and are only down 21-14 to the Giants. Time to go watch the finish.

Update: Never mind. It’s been all Giants since I hit ‘publish’ on this post. Just ask Jerruh.

Hosting Saturday Night Live last night was former cast member Jimmy Fallon and Michael Buble. If you have no idea who Buble is ask your mother or your aunt, and they will tell you everything you need to know about him. “He’s like a young Sinatra, and he’s so handsome.”

Okay enough of that, this was the last SNL of 2011, and I was really looking forward to it. I wasn’t the biggest Jimmy Fallon fan while he was on SNL, but he has had a lot success as the host of his late night show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. I had high hopes coming in this week thinking I writers and the performers would work extra hard for the last show of the year.

As always, Spoiler Alert!

Cold Opening: Boston Couple

For whatever reason I love Boston accents, I like any movie where the characters have Boston accents. (Good Will Hunting, The Town, The Departed, and The Fighter). I used to like the Boston Couple a lot, but this skit didn’t really work. Most of the jokes weren’t funny and they kinda forced Amy Poehler in it. I wish the baby names were funnier, like if they named them after famous Bostonians. I did enjoy NOMAR!!!

Grade: C

Opening Monologue

Jimmy playing his guitar was a fun way to start the show; songs can hit-or-miss in the monologue, but this one was fun and captured the Holiday spirit. I really liked when he mentions how he ruined “More Cowbell”, “Debbie Downer”, and “Barry Gibb Talk Show” because of his laughing. Also we found out that Andy and Vanessa Bayer are Jewish. And like a lot of Christians, Jimmy just ignores their Holiday.

Grade B+

NBC News: Today

I think Nasim Pedrad is like the ninth person to play Hota Kotb, but anyways she has a new boyfriend even though Kathy Lee does not believe so. I didn’t have high expectations for this sketch, but Wiig had some pretty good come backs that saved the bit. Fallon played Regis Philbin that didn’t really do much for the sketch.

Grade: B

Michael Buble Christmas Duets

A little different from last week’s Dog singing sketch, but I liked this one more. Basically Buble would sing a duet with some of today’s most popular artist. I thought Sting, Taylor Swift, and Russell Brand were all solid. Buble’s reaction to when M.I.A shot her gun was funny. I nearly lost it when Fred Armisen was Thom Yorke and nearly had a seizure. Also, Jay Pharoah as Kanye West was amazing.

Grade: A-

Jimmy Fallon Mirror Sketch

It did not start off great Andy’s impression of Fallon was kinda poor. As the sketch went on you can tell that Fallon knew it was bad too, so he was doing an impression of Andy Samberg doing an impression of Jimmy Fallon. You get what I am saying? I enjoyed when they were thinking of ideas for the show and Fallon wanted to do his Jerry Seinfeld impression, but Andy couldn’t do it so they decided to dump it. The spit take was hilarious, and the best part was when Andy wished Jimmy a “Merry Christmas” and Jimmy responded with “Happy Hanukkah.”

Grade: B+

Don’t Make Sing/Dance

Not a huge fan of this character, you know the punch line already and it is repeated over and over it becomes repetitive. Jimmy’s character who always wants to dance was nice little twist, but not enough to save the bit.

Grade: D

Half Jewish, Half Italian, Completely Neurotic

I really like Fred Armisen, but I did not care for this character. Like a lot of Armisen’s characters he is awkward and weird, but this character didn’t really work. Two bright spots in this poor sketch were when he spent half the show trying to get a video to work and when he got up into Bill Hader face, asking him if he was a bad boy.

Grade: C-

Seasons Greeting

Horatio Sanz, Fallon, Chris Kattan, and Tracy Morgan were all back to perform their famous Seasons Greeting song and dance. I liked it when Kattan randomly poked his head out in the middle of the shot, but that’s really all. It didn’t have the same magical as the original. Also, how much weight has Tracy Morgan gained? He was almost as fat as Horatio Sanz, which is a sentence that I thought I would never say back in 2000. He also looked like he did not want to be up there at all.

Grade: C

Weekend Update

Another great Weekend Update, not as many great headline jokes, but guest appearances made up for it. A new segment called “Inside the Cage” where Nicolas Cage talks the fine craft of acting. Andy Samberg’s impression of Nicolas Cage is always hilarious, because that’s how I imagine Nick Cage acts on a daily bases. The high point of the episode was when Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Jimmy Fallon joined Seth Meyers for a “Joke Off”.

Grade: A-

Beethoven’s Band

Last night’s weird late sketch was Beethoven introduces his band to the audience. Beethoven introduces each member kinda like a Roaster Master would and it was surprisingly funny. Some of my favorites were the guy with the slight fever, Triangle Sally, and Horatio Sanz’s character who played a Mozart number and Beethoven called him out on it.

Grade: B

War Horse

I didn’t like this bit mostly because I don’t want to see the movie. I have never been one of those people who have a weird attachment to horses. Probably because a horse has a much better chance trampling and killing me then being my best bud. Two parts I liked were when the horse (Fallon) started talking and at the end when they were chanting U.S.A, U.S.A, U.S.A.

Grade: C

Tebow and Jesus

TEEEEEEBOOOWWWWWW!!!!!!! Jerod didn’t care for this skit, but I liked it. Taran Killam’s Tebow was awesome, and I think Taran is a rising star on SNL. Tebow was up in Jesus face telling him how much he praised him and Jesus told him to take it down a notch. Jason Sudeikis played a cool, calm, relaxed Jesus, which is how I like my Jesus to be. Or I like to picture Jesus in a tuxedo t-shirt cause it says, ‘I want to be formal, but I am here to party too’ cause I like to party and I want my Jesus to party too. Some people might have been offended by how they made fun of Tebow’s religion, but it didn’t offend me. I like it when shows poke fun of religion as long as it’s tasteful and they don’t just pick on one group.

Grade: B+

Random Thoughts

I was not very excited to see that Charles Barkley is hosting next episode.

“The Holy Bible is my playbook”

The number 1 element that Nick Cage looks for in a movie is it exist.

“Jesus I am sooooo much better than you” Kanye West . . . Okay Jay Pharoah said that, but I won’t be surprised if Kanye were said that.

As you have surely heard by now, Jake Delhomme is back in the NFL.

The man who quarterbacked the Carolina Panthers to the Super Bowl in 2003, and who is renowned as a great guy and good leader, but who in subsequent years became synonymous with terms like “interception” and “noodle arm”, is now a member of the Houston Texans.

But no matter where Delhomme goes, now or at any time in the future, to me he’ll always be Bojangles’ Defender of the Fresh Biscuit.

[Kudos to Redditor cjf212 for pulling this one out of the archives.]

Seriously, this may be the greatest athlete commercial I’ve ever seen – at least in terms of just straight ridiculous hilarity.

What could be better than Jake Delhomme in a cape defending cute southern belles from nefarious peddlers of stale biscuits?

Here’s what I’d love to see: for Delhomme to be mic’d up during the Texans’ next game, and then to hear “Thoooose are not fresh biscuits!” when pass after T.J. Yates pass falls harmlessly to the ground or into the hands of the checkdown receiver.

If only.

Anyway, this got me to thinking…what is your favorite athlete commercial?

And don’t submit the Mean Joe Greene one. I know that one is great. But I’m talking about your favorite commercial starring an athlete that makes you giggle and/or guffaw every time you see it.

Jake Delhomme protecting the world from stale biscuits does it for me. Which ones do it for you? I’m sure there are plenty I’m forgetting, lost as I am in laughter at repeat viewings of Jake Delhomme: Bojangles’ Defender of the Fresh Biscuit.

Maske at Upprox put it right: “I’d love to tell you I have even a semblance of a clue as to what the hell is going on here and provide you with some comforting guidance. But I can’t.”

If you’re a fan of The Office, you absolutely have to watch this video. And just prepare to stare with your mouth agape wondering how the hell this is even possible.

Once you get past the shock…and the now-trite use of autotune…you have to admit that it’s a pretty fun video, made all the more fun by the totally ironic presence of Leslie David Baker aka Stanley.

Apparently when he’s not doing crossword puzzles and being sassy, he’s “winning” like Charlie Sheen.

And I really don’t know what else to say.

In honor of The Muppets, which opens today and which still has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, I’ve compiled every “Muppet Sports” sketch (hosted by Louis Kazagger) from The Muppet Show (1976–1981), which is the first show I can recall watching religiously every week.

I went with “Muppet Sports” because this is a sports website, but “Muppet Sports” probably isn’t the best introduction to The Muppet Show for the uninitiated. So before we get to the sports clips, I’ve included a few of my favorite Muppet Show moments as well.

That said, to fully appreciate The Muppet Show, you really need to watch the full episodes because the transitions between sketches are usually the best parts. Most episodes are available, in full, on YouTube.

Four of My Muppet Show Favorites

It did not receive much publicity at the time, but Congress recently slipped through a law requiring anyone who maintains a sports blog to post at least one Tim Tebow-related item every single day. It’s true. Look it up.

Luckily, I recently stumbled upon two relatively entertaining videos that will fill today’s Tebow quota.

The first comes via yesterday’s Hot Clicks (which features a must-see music video ode to Wes Welker that is spectacularly bad/awesome). It’s a song by Ryan Parker, whose work we’ve featured here at MSF before.

This time, Parker is singing about America’s most polarizing football player. The song is called “Tebowing” and I think you’ll recognize the tune.

The second video is one I just came across via r/NFL. Since so many people are saying Tebow’s current five-game run as a start has a Disney movie feel to it, someone actually edited the end of the Broncos-Jets game, and added music, as if it were a real Disney movie.

The film, much to the chagrin of Jake Plummer, is called “Run With Me Jesus”.

And now we’ll move on to non-Tebow subjects. But stay tuned tomorrow as we find some way to fill the Congress-mandated Tebow quota.

Earlier today I posted the Suck For Luck Power Rankings for Week 12.

Included in this post was a discussion of the awful Washington Redskins, who placed 4th in this week’s rankings despite nearly beating the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

And embedded in this discussion of the awful Redskins was the following animated GIF that shows one of the Redskins coaches performing one of the most WTF play or formation calls in NFL history. I thought it deserved its own post.

GIF source: Imgur via Reddit

This is 10x funnier than last week’s NFL GIF of the Week.

I have to assume that this is some type of formation signal or desired personnel grouping. Or perhaps there was a praying mantis or some other type of bug sashaying across the field and this was the beginning of some kind of weird mating ritual. Who knows.

By the way, the funniest Reddit comment on this post was the following, by 1cerazor: I know how Rexy interprets that play call: “Fuck it, going deep.”

My only wish is that instead of the Man In The Yellow Shirt doing this call (identified by a commenter as Lou Spanos, LB coach), that it had been Mike Shanahan doing it. Not that he’s ever been photographed looking creepy…

I apologize in advance for your nightmares. (Unless you own Roy Helu, Ryan Torain, or any other Redskins running back…then you should be used to Mike Shanahan nightmares.)

I have no idea where this picture comes from, or whose toilet/bathroom setup this is…but I must have it.

Although…I’d have to fight my natural propensity to hover outside the 3-point line. While the challenge is riveting, the clean up would be messy, inevitable, and get old after a while.

And before you go criticizing me for littering MSF with toilet humor, just remember that toilets have been featured prominently on this here sporty blog before. We awarded this setup the title of “The World’s Most Comfortable Toilet” and once regaled you with this debaucherous tale of an ex-NFL star snorting coke off a toilet seat in a bar.

So yeah, we like toilets.

And because there is no non-awkward way to transition from that last statement (I know, I’ve been sitting here for five minutes trying) here is an animated GIF of The Dude dancing, apropos of absolutely nothing. Not a damn thing awkward about that!

This image, found at a post entitled "11 Accidentally Dirty Baseball Pictures" just may be the funniest baseball photobomb ever caught on camera. (Also: a bonus picture of Randy Johnson about to do ungodly things to a pole!)

I was just forward this link from a friend, and since I have the luxury of a job where I can sit on my ass and open up links like this during the day, I decided to indulge. What followed were 11 pretty funny “accidentally dirty baseball photos” rounded up by the folks at 11Points.com.

(And the only thing you need to know about 11Points.com to know it’s a cool site is that they have the immortal Jay Sherman featured prominently right under their header imploring people to buy their book.)

Out of the 11 photos, this is the one I found to be the most entertaining:

I’d make a Chien-Ming Wang joke, but that would be inappropriate. (Because, of course, he was born in Taiwan.)

Predictably, two out of the 11 photos make fun of A-Rod, baseball’s easiest punchline (with one of those photos including an appropriate Chien-Ming Wang joke). And then there is the photo below, which may just be the most inexplicable baseball card of all time.

Yes, that is future Hall of Famer Randy Johnson, getting ready to either kick of hump a pole. Let’s all just assume it was the former and move along.

Check out all 11 accidentally dirty baseball photos here.
