chris-chambers-fantasy

Week 1 may seem too early to be reading articles on the waiver wire and to be looking for potential steals and sleepers. I mean, no actual games have been played yet, right?

This is true if you are looking at your fantasy football season on a week-to-week basis and not over the long haul of an entire season.

ProFootballinsight takes a look at a few players heading into Week 1 who can contribute on your roster all season long.

Week 15 Sleepers and Waiver Wire Steals

week-15-sleepers-campbell

It’s been a couple of weeks since we have posted a sleepers and steals article, and with so much riding on this week it seemed like the perfect time for another one.

Plus, while scouring the waiver wire in one of my leagues last night I stumbled upon Quinton Ganther of the Washington Redskins, which surprised me for two reasons: 1) that I hadn’t picked him up yet, and 2) that I was in a league with that many other owners who apparently had taken their eyes off of the road.

Ganther needs to be on your roster folks, especially with a nice matchup this weekend against a New York Giants defense that has given up 17 rushing touchdowns this season.

And speaking of the Redskins, Jason Campbell is another guy possibly sleeping on your waiver wire who could help you win your Week 15 matchup.

Who are some other sleepers and waiver wire steals for Week 15? Let’s take a look.

Week 9 is here and gone, and we are now into the shortened prep weeks due to the insertion of Thursday night games. Due to injuries and the Texans and Giants being on a bye in Week 10, or your players just sucking it up, you may need some sleepers to get you over the hump.

Going into week 10, there are a few new faces and a few old names that I have already talked about this year.  But let’s get the buzz name of the week out of the way first: Josh Freeman

Week 8 is here and will be gone after tonight’s Monday Night Game between the Falcons and Saints, and now all the hype is directed at Ryan Moats after his sterling 3-TD performance in place of Steve Slaton.

Moats leads the list of waiver wire steals and potential sleepers for Week 9 of the fantasy football season, especially with another sextet of teams on their bye: the Bills, Browns, Vikings, Jets, Raiders and Rams.

So, is Ryan Moats someone that you should be picking up for Week 9…and perhaps even beyond?

Head over to MSF Fantasy Sports for the 2010 Fantasy Football Week 8 Sleepers and Waiver Wire Targets

Week 8, as usual, is filled with injuries, six bye weeks, and numerous underachieving players. This is the time of year when uncovering a waiver wire player about to step into more opportunity can be exactly the boon that your team needs.

In New York and San Francisco, two such sleeper players exist: RB Shonn Greene and QB Alex Smith.

We look at these two Week 8 diamonds in the rough, plus link you to PFI for more sleepers and waiver wire steals for Week 8.

[Editor's Note: Jerod's Week 8 start 'em, sit 'em column will be one day late but will be posted tomorrow morning.]

Fantasy Football Week 4 Waiver Wire Steals: Glen Coffee

glen-coffee-thumb

For those of you who followed PFI last week and our Week 3 Fantasy Football Sleepers and Waiver Wire Steals, you capitalized on a touchdown from Johnny Knox, an explosive game from Tashard Choice, and one of Jason Campbell’s biggest fantasy outputs of his career.

My fantasy owners who wrote in were guided in starting Kevin Kolb and up-to-then bust Santana Moss. Both had great fantasy weeks.

But enough tooting my own horn, onto this week’s closet fantasy studs, starting with the guy who is taking the place of Frank Gore in San Francisco: Glen Coffee.
