It’s what we have all been waiting for: NFL Kickoff 2009. After going through football withdrawls, the draft, and preseason, our moment of Glory finally came. And it was good…real good. In honor of Week 1, I have decided to make this week’s I’ll Tell You This an “NFL Kickoff Special”.
Donovan McNabb left today’s Eagles-Panthers game with what is now being called a fractured rib. There is currently no timetable for McNabb’s return, but it will most likely hinge on his ability to stand the pain of the broken rib.
Michael Vick made his debut for the Philadelphia Eagles last night, playing six plays and going 4-4 passing. At one point, Eagles fans started a “We Want Vick” chant. If Vick is still the dynamic player we all remember once he returns, it could create a QB controversy for the Eagles down the line this season.
It is that time of year again as fantasy football drafts are occurring across the world in preparation for the 2009 season. Jerod had his first one last night and describes the draft value and projections that drove some of his picks.
Among the notable players discussed: Tom Brady, Felix Jones, LeSean McCoy, Donovan McNabb, Torry Holt, Vernon Davis, Anthony Gonzalez, plus former Browns nemesis Rex Ryan and his potentially lethal and undervalued Jets D.
The Philadelphia Eagles and Donovan McNabb travel to Arizona this weekend to battle the Cardinals in the NFC Championship game. It is an unlikely matchup in what has been a most unlikely year of strange and unexpected occurences in the NFL.
After yesterday’s Eagles-Bengals tie, Donovan McNabb admitted that he did not know NFL games could end in a tie. See video and chime in with your thoughts.
