After a stellar Week 6 performance, Jerod is back to add to his great 2010 record against the spread with his Week 7 picks. Also, point spreads and over-under odds listed for each game.

Update 10/21: All the spreads are in! As are all my picks. Below.

After a couple of barely .500 weeks (8-6 and 7-6), I got back on track in Week 7 with a stellar 8-3-2 mark against the spread. Now that’s what I’m talking about.

I still have not had a week in which I wasn’t at least one game over .500, and I now have a 50-32-5 record on the year, good for a 57% win percentage overall. So hopefully you are checking out these picks on a weekly basis.

But, of course, six good weeks mean nothing. It’s all about the next week, which is why I’m diving right into Week 7. Let’s pick some winners.

A couple of quick things to keep in mind:

All times are ET.

Point spread and over-under listings are as of Monday and obviously subject to change throughout the week. If you want updated point spread info, or some expert advice as you make your weekly picks, below are a few helpful links.

DocSports: NFL Picks

And with all that said, here are your Week 7 picks, plus the point spreads and over-under odds for each game.

NFL Week 7 Bettor’s Guide

Point Spreads – Free Picks – Odds – Over-Unders

Cleveland Browns at New Orleans Saints

Browns-Saints Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on CBS

Browns-Saints Point Spread: Saints -13

Browns-Saints Over-Under Odds: 43

Browns-Saints Spread Pick: The poor Browns. They really are a better team this year than they were last year, but it’s just not showing up in the win column. And now they are down to their third string QB, a very green rookie in Colt McCoy, and have to go into the Superdome to face a Saints team that seems to be finally finding its stride on offense. This game is not going to be pretty. Not pretty at all. Browns-Saints free pick: Saints -13

Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs

Jaguars-Chiefs Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on CBS

Jaguars-Chiefs Point Spread: Chiefs -9

Jaguars-Chiefs Over-Under Odds: 37.5

Jaguars-Chiefs Spread Pick: Jacksonville may end with Todd Bouman at QB. Yes, that Todd Bouman (which Todd Bouman?). I like the Chiefs, and the Jags looked awful on Monday night, but NFL teams sometimes are able to rally around a sub QB for one game. Especially after being embarrassed, I think the Jags come out a play better. And remember, this team beat Indy, so they aren’t completely awful. I like the Chiefs to win, but I think the Jags find a way to cover. Jaguars-Chiefs free pick: Jags +9

Philadelphia Eagles at Tennessee Titans

Eagles-Titans Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on FOX

Eagles-Titans Point Spread: Titans -3

Eagles-Titans Over-Under Odds: 43

Eagles-Titans Spread Pick: What a tricky, tricky little game this is. Philly has been playing great with Kevin Kolb that last few weeks, while the Titans are also proving that they are a force to be reckoned with this season. The question is: will Vince Young play? I’m not sure it matters. The AFC is head and shoulders better than the NFC this year, the Titans are at home, and Kevin Kolb will likely feel pressure like he hasn’t felt this year. Plus, Philly isn’t great at stopping the run. Eagles-Titans free pick: Titans -3

Cincinnati Bengals at Atlanta Falcons

Bengals-Falcons Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on CBS

Bengals-Falcons Point Spread: Falcons -3.5

Bengals-Falcons Over-Under Odds: 42.5

Bengals-Falcons Spread Pick: The Falcons were blasted by the Eagles last week, after everyone was saying that Atlanta was class of the NFC. I guess not. Here’s the thing: the AFC is much, much better than the NFC this year, and I think the Bengals, coming off a bye, have a decent shot to win this game. Remember, the Falcons needed a bonehead play by a 49ers DB just to escape with a home win over San Francisco. This one will be close. Bengals-Falcons free pick: Bengals +3.5

Washington Redskins at Chicago Bears

Redskins-Bears Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on FOX

Redskins-Bears Point Spread: Bears -3

Redskins-Bears Over-Under Odds: 40

Redskins-Bears Spread Pick: One thing we know about the Redskins is that their games are going to be close. So that makes the 3 point spread very reasonable. However, I’m not about to take the Bears by three, not after they lost to the terrible-on-the-road Seahawks last week in Soldier Field. Until the Bears can figure out their offensive line issues, I’m not picking this team to cover any spread against a competent football team. Washington isn’t great, but they’re good enough to keep this one really close and maybe even win it. Redskins-Bears free pick: Redskins +3

Pittsburgh Steelers at Miami Dolphins

Steelers-Dolphins Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on CBS

Steelers-Dolphins Point Spread: Steelers -3

Steelers-Dolphins Over-Under Odds: 40.5

Steelers-Dolphins Spread Pick: Here is the weird thing about the Dolphins: they have won at Green Bay and at Minnesota and lost at home to the Jets and Patriots. This is yet another example of how much better the AFC is than the NFC this year. And the Steelers may just be the best team in the AFC. They stop the run, they are versatile on offense, and they can beat anyone, any place. I just don’t trust these Dolphins right now, especially at home against a good AFC foe. Steelers-Dolphins free pick: Steelers -3

St. Louis Rams at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Rams-Buccaneers Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on FOX

Rams-Buccaneers Point Spread: Buccaneers -2.5

Rams-Buccaneers Over-Under Odds: 38

Rams-Buccaneers Spread Pick: The Rams pulled off a huge upset last week against the Chargers, although it’s possible that the Chargers just aren’t that good and that it wasn’t so monumental of an upset. The Bucs, on the other hand, got their ass handed to them by the Saints. What we know about the Bucs is that they beat mediocre or bad teams but lose very badly to good teams. The Rams are in the mediocre category and I think Josh Freeman outduels Sam Bradford in Tampa. Rams-Buccaneers free pick: Bucs -2.5

Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens

Bills-Ravens Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on CBS

Bills-Ravens Point Spread: Ravens -13

Bills-Ravens Over-Under Odds: 38

Bills-Ravens Spread Pick: I rarely like giving this many points and only do it in extreme cases (like Cleveland against Pittsburgh and New Orleans the last two weeks). While I do think Baltimore will win this game rather easily, the Bills have had two weeks to prepare and Ryan Fitzpatrick has actually been playing quietly well. Even if the Bills tack on a few garbage scores late, it could still be the difference between a 20- and 13-point victory…and that would obviously dictate who wins and loses against the spread. And I have to admit, I’m a little worried about a letdown for the Ravens. Bills-Ravens free pick: Bills +13

San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers

49ers-Panters Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 1:00 pm on FOX

49ers-Panters Point Spread: 49ers -2

49ers-Panters Over-Under Odds: 35.5

49ers-Panters Spread Pick: San Francisco is finally finding its footing. They played well (for the most part) in losses to the Falcons and Eagles, and then they finally got in the W column last week against Oakland. Carolina is going back to Matt Moore, and I have to think he’ll play better than he did at the start of the year. The Panthers are also coming off a bye, which always helps. I do think San Francisco will win this game, but I don’t like taking 1-win teams and giving points on the road. It makes me a bit queasy. 49ers-Panthers free pick: Panthers +2

Arizona Cardinals at Seattle Seahawks

Cardinals-Seahawks Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 4:05 on FOX

Cardinals-Seahawks Point Spread: Seahawks -5.5

Cardinals-Seahawks Over-Under Odds: 40.5

Cardinals-Seahawks Spread Pick: Seattle is probably better than I thought they were, although I’m not going to crown their asses (thanks Denny Green!) for beating a Bears team that can’t block anyone. What we know about Seattle is that they are much better at home than on the road, and while the Cardinals have had two weeks to prepare, the Seahawks are playing vicious defense right now and that doens’t bode well for rookie QB Max Hall. Cardinals-Seahawks free pick: Seahawks -5.5

Oakland Raiders at Denver Broncos

Raiders-Broncos Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 4:05 on FOX

Raiders-Broncos Point Spread: Broncos -8.5

Raiders-Broncos Over-Under Odds: 41.5

Raiders-Broncos Spread Pick: Denver being favored by 8.5 over anyone seems laughable, especially against a division opponent. However, with Bruce Gradkowski likely out, I can see where this spread comes from. Still, I don’t like. Darren McFadden is back, which means he and Michael Bush can tag-team the terrible Denver D. Orton and his WRs will get theirs, and probably win, but the Raiders will keep it competitive. Raiders-Broncos free pick: Raiders +8.5

New England Patriots at San Diego Chargers

Patriots-Chargers Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 4:05 on FOX

Patriots-Chargers Point Spread: Chargers -3

Patriots-Chargers Over-Under Odds: 47

Patriots-Chargers Spread Pick: San Diego has its back up against the wall. They have also performed much better at home this year than on the road. The Chargers also have a prolific passing attack to take advantage of New England’s questionable secondary. The Patriots have to fly all the way across the country and winning a fierce game against the trash-talking Ravens. This has letdown written all over it to me, and I think San Diego wins, with or without Antonio Gates. Philip Rivers is good enough. Patriots-Chargers free pick: Chargers -3

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers

Vikings-Packers Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Sunday, October 24 at 8:20 pm on FOX

Vikings-Packers Point Spread: Packers -2.5

Vikings-Packers Over-Under Odds: 44.5

Vikings-Packers Spread Pick: Sorry Pack fans, I can’t do it. The Packers just lost at home to the Dolphins and are dealing with myriad injuries that have made them a shell of the team we thought we’d see this year. The Vikings played better against the Cowboys, just being solid and hard-nosed and allowing Dallas to beat itself. Say what you will about Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers at this point in their careers, but one has proven he can win close games (sometimes…when he’s not throwing picks to lose them) and one hasn’t proven that he can. If you’re giving points to the guy who has proven he can win big games, I’ll take them. Vikings-Packers free pick: Vikings +2.5

New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys

Giants-Cowboys Date, TV, and Kickoff Time: Monday, October 25 at 8:30 pm on ESPN

Giants-Cowboys Point Spread: Cowboys -3

Giants-Cowboys Over-Under Odds: 44.5

Giants-Cowboys Spread Pick: You’re kidding right? Dallas is favored by three points against a team that is actually playing good football? Please. Look, I wouldn’t be shocked if Dallas won. They have talent and the Giants don’t exactly bring their “A” game every week. However, I want to see Dallas prove that they can be remotely disciplined before I’m going to take them and give the other team points. It may well happen, but I wouldn’t bet on it. Giants-Cowboys free pick: Giants +3

There is no question what the most compelling game is on the Week 7 NFL schedule: the Sunday night matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings. Not only is this Episode #2 of Brett Favre returning to Green Bay in purple, but the Packers’ injuries and subsequent losing means that the Vikings are breathing down their necks for second place in the AFC North.

I don’t really think I need to hype this game up anyway.

There are some other interesting matchups too: Dallas-New York on Monday night, Tennessee-Philly, and Pittsburgh-Miami, all of which feature intriguing teams and have playoff implications.

Goodbye baseball, hello NFL betting.

OK – the end of the baseball season doesn’t mean we all have to start betting on football. But we sports fans sure will be watching it and some of us will wager on it for office pools, friendly bets and so on. Let’s try a few more Week 9 NFL picks.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Sunday, November 8, 1:00 p.m. ET

Sportsbook favorite: Jaguars -6.5

Sure, most of us won’t be tuned in to this toilet bowl matchup, including Jaguars “fans.” But we should still take the opportunity to make a good pick when it’s available and the Jags look good this week.

Neither team can make a stop; both rank in the NFL’s bottom third in every major defensive category and are 31st and 32nd in sacks. But the Jags at least give the odd inspired effort at home, as they did against Indianapolis in Week 1 and Tennessee in their first meeting.

Maurice Jones-Drew should absolutely demolish the porous Chiefs O-line and David Garrard should have one of those good games he mixes in with his strings of mediocre performances.

Pick: Jaguars -6.5

Carolina Panthers @ New Orleans Saints

Sunday, November 8, 4:05 p.m. ET

Sportsbook favorite: Saints -13

Could this be your shocker special of the week, online betting fans? The Saints should win but they may not cover.

First off, they may underestimate the Panthers after beating the Giants and Falcons in recent weeks.

Second, the Panthers are running the ball with authority again and Sedrick Ellis’ injury leaves a hole in New Orleans’ run defense, as we saw when Michael Turner went off on Monday night.

Third, Carolina quietly has the NFL’s No. 1 pass defense; the stat was bloated early on by easy matchups but there was nothing easy about a road game versus Arizona last week and the Panthers still prevailed.

I see them keeping this game surprisingly close.

Pick: Panthers +13

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Denver Broncos

Monday, November 9, 8:35 p.m. ET

Sportsbook favorite: Steelers -3

How’s this for a stat: Pittsburgh has faced Chris Johnson, Cedric Benson and Adrian Peterson already this year…and still leads the NFL in run defense. We can thus expect the Steelers to shut down Knowshon Moreno and force the ball into Kyle Orton’s hands.

I don’t know about you, but I’d bench Orton when I make my NFL fantasy picks this week. He’s just been too mistake-free. Time for the Steelers to correct that.

Pick: Steelers -3

Looking ahead to Week 9, the Sunday and Monday night games highlight what is a solid slate of games top-to-bottom. Jerod provides the spread for each game, and then picks 'em all, as he tries to avenge his subpar Week 8 performance.

——————–

Mercy has finally come to Browns fans, as the team is on its bye!

Thus, there can be no Sunday massacre to dampen an otherwise pleasant weekend. And here’s the best part: Cleveland doesn’t play until next Monday night, which further prolongs the days between Browns beat-downs.

In between, there are some great games on the NFL Week 9 schedule for Browns fans, as well as Bills, Vikings, Jets, Raiders, and Rams fans, to distract themselves with, most notably the Sunday and Monday night games, both of which should be excellent and match up Dallas-Philadelphia and Denver-Pittsburgh.

We also get key divisional showdowns including Miami-New England, Houston-Indianapolis, and Baltimore-Cincinnati.

It should be another great weekend of NFL football. So, as we get ready for tonight’s Falcons-Saints Monday nighter, let’s take a look forward at the TV schedule, announcer lineups, point spreads and over-unders, and picks for NFL Week 9.

4th and Short NFL Picks Podcast

Jerod and Myles discuss Week 9 of the 2009 NFL schedule

As for my picks and record, well let’s just say that Week 8 was not kind of me. I suppose it was inevitable that I’d lay a giant egg at least one week…and now it’s happened.

Pending the results of the Saints-Falcons game tonight, I am sitting at 3-7 for the week (I didn’t pick every game because some games did not have lines by Monday night). This puts my overall record at 60-48 for the season. Still 12 games over, but inching closer to the .500 mark.

(Update: The Falcons barely kept it close enough to get me win #4 for the week. 61-48 overall now.)

Time for a turnaround in Week 9.

A couple of quick things to keep in mind:

The Bills, Browns, Vikings, Jets, Raiders, and Rams are all on their bye.

All times are ET.

Some games do not have all of the information filled in as of this post being published (i.e. a few games don’t have spreads yet and the announcer assignments have not yet been announced). I’ll up date this post as soon as the information is available at the506.com.

Point spread and over-under listings are as of Monday night, and obviously subject to change throughout the week. If you want update point spread info, or some expert advice as you make your weekly picks, below are a few helpful links.

And with all that said, here is your mood music and the Week Nine TV schedule, point spreads, announcers, free picks, and byes.

Washington Redskins at Atlanta Falcons

Redskins-Falcons Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Redskins-Falcons Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Redskins-Falcons TV Network: FOX

Redskins-Falcons Announcers: Kenny Albert, Daryl Johnston, and Tony Siragusa

Redskins-Falcons Point Spread: No line as of Monday night

Redskins-Falcons Over-Under: No line as of Monday night

Redskins-Falcons Spread Pick: Obviously there will not be a line until Atlanta gets through its Monday night game against the Saints tonight. However, I expect the Falcons to be favored in Week 9 and I plan to take the Redskins. Washington is coming off of its bye while Atlanta will be coming off of a short week. I don’t know that the Redskins will win, but I bet they can keep it close. Redskins-Falcons free pick: Redskins + whatever the spread is.

Arizona Cardinals at Chicago Bears

Cardinals-Bears Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Cardinals-Bears Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Cardinals-Bears TV Network: FOX

Cardinals-Bears Announcers: Joe Buck and Troy Aikman

Cardinals-Bears Point Spread: Bears -3

Cardinals-Bears Over-Under: 44.5

Cardinals-Bears Spread Pick: Who knows what to think of these two teams. The Bears won by 24 on Sunday, but I didn’t think they looked particularly good against Cleveland. Arizona is all over the place, pounding the Giants one week while getting creamed by the Panthers the next week. In the end, I’m just not that impressed with Chicago and I think Arizona can shut down Matt Forte. I’m calling the Cardinals’ Week 8 beat down a fluke and pitching them to at least keep it closer than a Bears field goal; if push came to shove, I’d pick Arizona to win outright. Cardinals-Bears free pick: Cardinals +3

Baltimore Ravens at Cincinnati Bengals

Ravens-Bengals Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Ravens-Bengals Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Ravens-Bengals TV Network: CBS

Ravens-Bengals Announcers: Dick Enberg and Dan Fouts

Ravens-Bengals Point Spread: Ravens -3

Ravens-Bengals Over-Under: 43.5

Ravens-Bengals Spread Pick: This should be a very interesting game. Baltimore was sterling at home last week coming off of their bye and handed Denver its first loss of the season. Cincinnati is coming off of its bye and its best game of the season, a thorough pounding of the Bears. I am starting to believe more and more in these Bengals and simply cannot give the Ravens three points with the game in Cincinnati. Ravens-Bengals free pick: Bengals +3

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts

Texans-Colts Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Texans-Colts Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Texans-Colts TV Network: CBS

Texans-Colts Announcers: Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots

Texans-Colts Point Spread: Colts -9

Texans-Colts Over-Under: 47.5

Texans-Colts Spread Pick: This is a tricky one. Peyton Manning always plays well against the Texans, whose running game looked better than it really is last week against the worst rushing D in the league (Buffalo). Losing Owen Daniels will hurt the Texans, and I just don’t think they have what it takes to stay with Indianapolis in Indy. I think Houston gets humbled a bit this week, but still can contend for a playoff berth moving forward. Texans-Colts free pick: Colts -9

Kansas City Chiefs at Jacksonville Jaguars

Chiefs-Jaguars Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Chiefs-Jaguars Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Chiefs-Jaguars TV Network: CBS

Chiefs-Jaguars Announcers: Bill Macatee and Steve Beuelein

Chiefs-Jaguars Point Spread: Jaguars -7

Chiefs-Jaguars Over-Under: 42

Chiefs-Jaguars Spread Pick: Is anyone looking forward to watching this game? Jacksonville has three wins but is not even that good of a team. And Kansas City is clearly not a good team either. The Jags have played pretty well against subpar competition at home, and I think they will find a way to do it again on Sunday. David Garrard has been especially good at home this year. Expect it to continue. Chiefs-Jaguars free pick: Jaguars -7

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

Dolphins-Patriots Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Dolphins-PatriotsKickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Dolphins-Patriots TV Network: CBS

Dolphins-Patriots Announcers: Greg Gumbel and Dan Dierdorf

Dolphins-Patriots Point Spread: Patriots -10.5

Dolphins-Patriots Over-Under: 46.5

Dolphins-Patriots Spread Pick: As a someone who grew up a Dolphins fan, this is a game I am greatly looking forward to. The Dolphins played the Patriots very well last season and are currently 3-0 against AFC East rivals. I do not think Miami can go into Foxboro and win the game; however, I do believe that Miami’s running game and smashmouth run defense can keep it close for a while. Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and Wes Welker will ultimately be too much for Miami’s young secondary though, and I think the Patriots pull away in the second half. Dolphins-Patriots free pick: Patriots -10.5

Green Bay Packers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Packers-Buccaneers Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Packers-Buccaneers Kickoff Time: 1:00 pm

Packers-Buccaneers TV Network: FOX

Packers-Buccaneers Announcers: Sam Rosen and Tim Ryan

Packers-Buccaneers Point Spread: Packers -9.5

Packers-Buccaneers Over-Under: 43.5

Packers-Buccaneers Spread Pick: Green Bay will no doubt smarting from its lost to Minnesota and the Packers clearly have no figured out their protection problems. However, Tampa Bay is a terrible team and the Packers have already proven that they can dispose of terrible teams on the road with ease. I think this is a good weekend for the Packers to lick their Week 8 wounds and get right for four quarters on offense. Packers-Buccaneers free pick: Packers -9.5

Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints

Panthers-Saints Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Panthers-Saints Kickoff Time: 4:05 pm

Panthers-Saints TV Network: FOX

Panthers-Saints Announcers: Thom Brennaman and Brian Billick

Panthers-Saints Point Spread: No line as of Monday night

Panthers-Saints Over-Under: No line as of Monday night

Panthers-Saints Spread Pick: As with the Falcons game above, no line will be posted until tonight’s game is over. Barring any significant injuries for the Saints, I think they will be able to dominate Carolina at home next week. Let’s see…we have the QB with most INTs in the league (Delhomme) against the D with most INTs in the league (New Orleans). That’s not a good combo for the Panthers. (Now watch Delhomme throw 4 TDs and no picks…because the NFL is wacky like that.) Panthers-Saints free pick: Saints minus whatever the spread is.

Detroit Lions at Seattle Seahawks

Lions-Seahawks Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Lions-Seahawks Kickoff Time: 4:05 pm

Lions-Seahawks TV Network: FOX

Lions-Seahawks Announcers: Dick Stockton and Charles Davis

Lions-Seahawks Point Spread: Seahawks -10

Lions-Seahawks Over-Under: 43

Lions-Seahawks Spread Pick: This is an ugly game that I can’t imagine anyone will be too excited to watch. Seattle has been much better at home this year than on the road and Detroit just is not a good team right now. I’m going with Seattle in a blowout. Lions-Seahawks free pick: Seahawks -10

Tennessee Titans at San Francisco 49ers

Titans-49ers Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Titans-49ers Kickoff Time: 4:15 pm

Titans-49ers TV Network: CBS

Titans-49ers Announcers: Ian Eagle and Rich Gannon

Titans-49ers Point Spread: 49ers -4

Titans-49ers Over-Under: 41

Titans-49ers Spread Pick: Tennessee appeared to get itself righted last week, but let’s keep in mind that they were playing at home against Jacksonville, a team that is terrible on the road. The 49ers played very well at Indy and almost stole a W. I’m beginning to believe more in Alex Smith and Michael Crabtree, but still do not have faith in Vince Young. I want to see him do it again before I’ll trust the Titans. I’m still high on the 49ers though and think this is a game they win rather handily. Titans-49ers free pick: 49ers -4

San Diego Chargers at New York Giants

Chargers-Giants Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Chargers-Giants Kickoff Time: 4:15 pm

Chargers-Giants TV Network: CBS

Chargers-Giants Announcers: Jim Nantz and Phil Simms

Chargers-Giants Point Spread: Giants -5

Chargers-Giants Over-Under: 47.5

Chargers-Giants Spread Pick: What the hell are we to make of the Giants? This team is playing terrible football right now and I have to think that part of Eli Manning’s struggles have to do with his injured foot. San Diego is no world beater, but they are a capable team that could have given even the “good” Giants a solid game. I would not be surprised to see San Diego steal a W here, based on how New York is playing, and I certainly think they can cover give points. Chargers-Giants free pick: Chargers +5

Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles

Cowboys-Eagles Date: Sunday, Nov 8th

Cowboys-Eagles Kickoff Time: 8:20 pm

Cowboys-Eagles TV Network: NBC

Cowboys-Eagles Announcers: Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth

Cowboys-Eagles Point Spread: Eagles -3

Cowboys-Eagles Over-Under: 47.5

Cowboys-Eagles Spread Pick: What a terrific game this should be. Philadelphia has rebounded from their Oakland loss to beat Washington despite playing an uneven game and then beating the Giants in a rout. Dallas, meanwhile, has quietly reasserted itself as a team to be reckoned with. The Cowboys, I believe, have actually been playing more consistent football than Philadelphia, and I think they will be out to avenge to last season’s shellacking at the end of the regular season. I think Dallas has a great chance to win this game outright, and I think they at least cover the three. Cowboys-Eagles free pick: Cowboys +3

Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos

Steelers-Broncos Date: Monday, Nov 9th

Steelers-Broncos Kickoff Time: 8:30 pm

Steelers-Broncos TV Network: ESPN

Steelers-Broncos Announcers: Mike Tirico, Ron Jaworski, and Jon Gruden

Steelers-Broncos Point Spread: Steelers -3

Steelers-Broncos Over-Under: 38.5

Steelers-Broncos Spread Pick: Did the glass slipper fall off of Denver last week in Baltimore? Or was it just a one week blip? We will certainly find out Monday night, but I think Denver is good enough to get more respect than being a three point home dog. Pittsburgh has been uneven this year and I think Denver will be able to slow down Big Ben and the passing game. With Rashard Mendenhall’s fumbilitis, I think plenty of opportunities will be there for Denver to get good field position and win a low scoring game. Steelers-Broncos free pick: Broncos +3
