The Houston Texans officially placed running back Arian Foster on injured reserve Tuesday afternoon, officially ending his season. Foster was told by several back specialists that he needs season-ending surgery to repair damage in the area. He sought out multiple opinions in an effort to avoid surgery, but no one would clear him to play.

Steve Nash: Los Angeles Lakers concerned about point guard’s back

Los Angeles Lakers point guard Steve Nash has only played sparingly this season and has looked hobbled when he’s been on the floor. Sunday night the Lakers lost badly to the Minnesota Timberwolves 113-90 and Nash sat out the second half because of a back injury. Reports now suggest the Lakers are seriously concerned about their 39-year-old point guard’s back.

This has been expected for some time, but now we have confirmation that New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will indeed undergo back surgery. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the procedure is scheduled for Tuesday in Los Angeles.
