The top two seeds in the NFC meet up in this year’s championship game. The 49ers find themselves in the NFC Championship game for the second year in a row, this time with Colin Kaepernick as their quarterback. They will take on the top-seeded Atlanta Falcons who barely made it to this game.
The Patriots grabbed the second spot in the AFC after winning their final two games and nine of their last ten altogether. They have already beaten the Texans once this season, which was the game that started the Texans’ slide to third in the AFC.
The Atlanta Falcons come into this game as the top seed in the NFC. But that may not be enough to peg them as favorites one day after the Broncos, who were the top seed in the AFC, lost to Baltimore. And with the Broncos’ loss, Seattle is now the hottest team in the NFL.

Two of the hottest teams in the NFC and in all of the NFL will meet up in the final game of the wild card playoffs. The Seahawks, who are riding a five-game winning streak, head to Washington to take on the Redskins, who have won their last seven games.
This year’s NFL playoffs begin the same way they did last season, with the Bengals heading to Houston to take on the Texans. Both teams are the same seed that they were last year … which is not something the Texans are proud of.

The final Monday Night Football game of the season will take place on Saturday when the Falcons head into Detroit with a chance to clinch the top spot in the NFC.
It is Week 15 and the New York Jets still have a shot to make the playoffs. Yes, this is the same team that played a 7-6 game against the Cardinals, with the only touchdown being thrown by Greg McElroy. They take on the Titans tonight, who will try to play spoiler for the hopes of the Jets.

With only three weeks left in the regular season, every game takes on added importance. There are still a wide array of playoff possibilities, but that will be reduced and the playoff picture will become more clear after this weekend’s games.
