This weekend, my lady friend Jennifer and I will drive from Indianapolis to Columbus to pick Jerod for Week 5 of the MSF-La Quinta CFB Road Trip. In honor of Jerod’s high-school-and-early-college obsession, here are 5 things I “Can’t Hardly Wait” to experience with my two partners crime this weekend.
The first weekend of college football is not historically loaded with must-see matchups. This year, however, there are a handful of games that will be worth setting aside time to watch.

The Ohio State University is 13-12-0 all-time versus the Penn State Nittnay Lions. This has been one of the most even match-ups for both the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions in Big Ten play since Penn State joined the conference. The home team has had the most success (12-5) in this border war.
The Ohio State University is 42-7-0 all-time versus the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Ohio State was 11-0 at the Metrodome, but Saturday will be their first road test at the new outdoor TCF Bank Stadium.
