Sports Blog Advertising on Midwest Sports FansMidwest Sports Fans started in August of 2008 as a one-person blog without any readers. Between that time and the beginning of 2009, we grew to over 53,000 unique visitors in the month of December.

The credit for this growth goes to the hard work of our team of contributors and featured authors, who make it their goal to provide insightful and entertaining content that will appeal to the sports interests of fans in the Midwest.

There are a few simple criteria we look at with respect to the ads we run our site:

  1. Will the ad maximize the projected revenue potential of the ad space?
  2. Will the ad provide value to our readers if they are compelled to click on it?
  3. Can we show quantifiable results to the advertiser if we agree to run a campaign?

If we can answer yes to all three questions above, we will run an ad. There are a variety of types of ad campaigns that we have experience running and will consider. We have various banner and image advertisements on the site already, and are open to any type of advertisement that will be mutually beneficial.

Banner Advertisements

We are constantly testing and tracking different ad sizes and placements. Currently, we run three different ad types on Midwest Sports Fans:

  1. 728 X 90
  2. 480 X 60
  3. 160 X 600
  4. 250 (or 300) X 250

***Note: Our policy is that we only will only engage in a non-network explicit sponsorship program if we have personally had a positive experience with the company, product, or service. We will also always explicitly state when we have been paid to share our opinion in a post.***
