Cincinnati Reds starting pitcher Homer Bailey made history Tuesday night, as he notched the 280th no-hitter in Major League Baseball history against the San Francisco Giants.
Anyone who watched the game will tell you just how dominant Bailey was. In his nine innings of work he struck out nine Giants while allowing just one walk.
Bailey’s fastball was still hitting the upper-90s late into the game, and the game’s final pitch came in at 97 miles per hour. That’s simply incredible.
With the 3-0 win, Bailey improved to 5-6 on the season and lowered his ERA to 3.57.
