Week 6 was filled with many surprises, which seems to be a common theme for this season.
With only two teams in the AFC having more than three wins, and the entire AFC East being 3-3, the season is sure to offer more surprises and confusion as it moves into Week 7 and beyond.

TV Schedule – Point Spreads – Kickoff Times – Picks
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
- Seahawks-49ers Date: Thursday, October 18
- Seahawks-49ers Kickoff Time: 8:20 PM
- Seahawks-49ers TV Network: NFL Network
- Seahawks-49ers Point Spread: 49ers -7.5
- Seahawks-49ers Over-Under Odds: 38
- Seahawks-49ers Pick: Both teams come into this game with records of 4-2, but they had much different results last week. The 49ers were blown out by the Giants by the a score of 26-3, while the Seahawks pulled out a clutch fourth-quarter win over the Patriots. The 49ers seem to be the clear favorites, but it is tough to count out the Seahawks, especially after their comeback win last week. With this large spread, go with the Seahawks in this game. Seahawks +7.5
Tennessee Titans at Buffalo Bills
- Titans-Bills Date: Sunday, October 21
- Titans-Bills Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Titans-Bills TV Network: CBS
- Titans-Bills Point Spread: Bills -3
- Titans-Bills Over-Under Odds: 46.5
- Titans-Bills Pick: The Titans pulled out a surprising, and season-saving, win over the Steelers last Thursday night. Even with that win, the Titans are underdogs, and rightfully so, to the Bills. Buffalo beat the Cardinals last week, and they will get another win this week over the Titans. Bills -3
Arizona Cardinals at Minnesota Vikings
- Cardinals-Vikings Date: Sunday, October 21
- Cardinals-Vikings Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Cardinals-Vikings TV Network: FOX
- Cardinals-Vikings Point Spread: Vikings -6
- Cardinals-Vikings Over-Under Odds: Vikings -6
- Cardinals-Vikings Pick: Both teams can stake claim to being the biggest surprise in the NFC thus far, as they are both unexpectedly 4-2. Both teams lost their games last week, but they are tied for first in their respective divisions. The spread is too large in this game, and the Cardinals will take advantage of that this week. Cardinals +6
Cleveland Browns at Indianapolis Colts
- Browns-Colts Date: Sunday, October 21
- Browns-Colts Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Browns-Colts TV Network: CBS
- Browns-Colts Point Spread: Colts -3
- Browns-Colts Over-Under Odds: 45
- Browns-Colts Pick: The Colts lost to the Jets by a score of 35-9 last week, just one week after their emotional win over the Packers. The Browns picked up their first win of the season with an impressive 34-24 victory over the Bengals. While they are still the underdogs on paper, look for the Browns to keep up their newfound winning ways this week. Browns +3

Baltimore Ravens at Houston Texans
- Ravens-Texans Date: Sunday, October 21
- Ravens-Texans Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Ravens-Texans TV Network: CBS
- Ravens-Texans Point Spread: Texans -7
- Ravens-Texans Over-Under Odds: 48.5
- Ravens-Texans Pick: This game is easily the game of the week. Both teams are 5-1, and they are the only AFC teams with more than three wins. The Ravens will be without Ray Lewis, as he is out for at least the next eight weeks with a torn tricep. While the Texans are pegged as the top team in the AFC by most, the Ravens will keep it close and cover the spread. Ravens +7
Green Bay Packers at St. Louis Rams
- Packers-Rams Date: Sunday, October 21
- Packers-Rams Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Packers-Rams TV Network: FOX
- Packers-Rams Point Spread: Packers -6
- Packers-Rams Over-Under Odds: 45
- Packers-Rams Pick: The Packers bounced back from a Week 5 loss with a big win over the Texans last week. Aaron Rodgers threw six touchdown passes, which put him back to his usual MVP status. The Rams are 3-3 this season, but they lost last week to the Dolphins while only scoring 13 points. The Packers will take care of this game easily. Packers -6
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers
- Cowboys-Panthers Date: Sunday, October 21
- Cowboys-Panthers Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Cowboys-Panthers TV Network: FOX
- Cowboys-Panthers Point Spread: Cowboys -2
- Cowboys-Panthers Over-Under Odds: 45.5
- Cowboys-Panthers Pick: The Cowboys dropped to 2-3 last week after a loss to the Ravens, while the Panthers remained at 1-4 on a bye week. Both teams are struggling, but the Cowboys have played tough in most games this year. With such a small spread, it is a safe bet to go with them in this game. Cowboys -2
Washington Redskins at New York Giants
- Redskins-Giants Date: Sunday, October 21
- Redskins-Giants Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Redskins-Giants TV Network: FOX
- Redskins-Giants Point Spread: Giants -6
- Redskins-Giants Over-Under Odds: 50
- Redskins-Giants Pick: The Giants proved how dominant they can be last week with their 26-3 win over the 49ers. They forced Alex Smith to throw three interceptions, which is a rare feat in itself. RG III led the Redskins to an impressive victory over the Vikings, but the magic will not carry over to this week. Giants -6
New Orleans Saints at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Saints-Bucs Date: Sunday, October 21
- Saints-Bucs Kickoff Time: 1 PM
- Saints-Bucs TV Network: FOX
- Saints-Bucs Point Spread: Saints -3
- Saints-Bucs Over-Under Odds: 50
- Saints-Bucs Pick: The Saints were on a bye last week after picking up their first win of the season two weeks ago. They come in as favorites even though they are going up against the 2-3 Bucs in Tampa. While the Bucs do have a better record, the Saints are clearly the better team in this matchup. All of New Orleans’ losses have been close games, but that will not matter this week as they will win this game. Saints -3
New York Jets at New England Patriots
- Jets-Patriots Date: Sunday, October 21
- Jets-Patriots Kickoff Time: 4:25 PM
- Jets-Patriots TV Network: CBS
- Jets-Patriots Point Spread: Patriots -11
- Jets-Patriots Over-Under Odds: 47.5
- Jets-Patriots Pick: The Patriots somehow lost to Seattle last week, even though they were up 23-10 with less than ten minutes remaining. The Jets blew out the Colts, which put them at 3-3. Every team in the AFC East is currently 3-3, but the Patriots are still eleven point favorites in this game. That seems too high, which is why going with the Jets is the right choice this week. Jets +11
Jacksonville Jaguars at Oakland Raiders
- Jaguars-Raiders Date: Sunday, October 21
- Jaguars-Raiders Kickoff Time: 4:25 PM
- Jaguars-Raiders TV Network: CBS
- Jaguars-Raiders Point Spread: Raiders -4
- Jaguars-Raiders Over-Under Odds: 43.5
- Jaguars-Raiders Pick: Both the Raiders and Jaguars come in at 1-4, which is really no surprise. The Raiders nearly beat the Falcons last week, but Atlanta improved to 6-0 and showed how a team is supposed to close out a game. The Jaguars had a bye week, which followed a 41-3 loss to Chicago. No chance for Jacksonville in this one. Raiders -4
Pittsburgh Steelers at Cincinnati Bengals
- Steelers-Bengals Date: Sunday, October 21
- Steelers-Bengals Kickoff Time: 8:20 PM
- Steelers-Bengals TV Network: NBC
- Steelers-Bengals Point Spread: Steelers -1.5
- Steelers-Bengals Over-Under Odds: 46
- Steelers-Bengals Pick: Pittsburgh dropped to 2-3 after a disastrous final minute against the Titans. The Bengals did not fare much better, as they lost by ten to the then 0-5 Browns. The Steelers are having a tough season with all of their injuries, but the Bengals are not doing much better. The Steelers will find a way to win this game on Sunday night. Steelers -1.5
Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
- Lions-Bears Date: Monday, October 22
- Lions-Bears Kickoff Time: 8:30 PM
- Lions-Bears TV Network: ESPN
- Lions-Bears Point Spread: Bears -6
- Lions-Bears Over-Under Odds: 47.5
- Lions-Bears Pick: The Lions picked up their second win of the season last week with a victory over the Eagles. While they are attempting to get back to .500, the Bears are the top team in the NFC North at 4-1. They were off last week, so they will certainly be fresh for this matchup at home against the Lions. Bears -6
Last Week: 4-9 (Odds not released in time for Vikings-Redskins game)
Yearly Record: 38-49-3

Steve, I need some advice, I’m 2-4 and have a trade offer:
Brandon Marshall for either MJD(bye already passed), McFadden(bye already passed), A. Morris or Rdley.
I still have A.Johnson, S.Johnson, Welker and Cobb. Brady is my QB, so Ridley would have same bye week.
I have a shot at Felix or Powell(AZ) in waiver claim.
Thanks, Kevin
Steve, I now have William Powell(AZ). Do I give up Marshall?
My RB’s are Woodhead, D.Williams, Powell, Blount, Jennings(Jax) and Draughn(KC)
Which 2 should I go with, or should I trade.
Thanks
Out of those you can trade for, Morris has been the most productive all year. McFadden has had the misfortune of being on a bad team, as has MJD. Their carries are limited due to the offenses they are on, so I would go with Morris in this trade. He only has one game under 78 yards rushing on the year, and would have more yards if not for RG III running the ball so often. The only thing to look out for is that the Redskins play the Giants this week, so you may want to be careful about starting him this week. After that, he should be putting up solid numbers for the rest of the year.
Thanks Steve, that was quick(I actually FBed you).
If I dont do trade, which 2 of the others should I go with, right now I have Williams/Woodhead
Thanks Steve, that was quick(I actually FBed you).
Should I do the trade? Or should I stand pat?
Which of the 2 I have now would you start, as of now I have Williams/Woodhead.
Thanks
Based on the talent you already have at the WR position, I would go through with the trade for Morris. He is the most consistent out of the ones you have on your team currently.
