We’re halfway there!
Playoff spots will begin to be locked up in the coming weeks, and you don’t want to be caught on the wrong side after Week 12.

Fantasy Football Week 8 Waiver Wire Pickups
Rashad Jennings, RB, JAX (Yahoo! 25%, FOX 15.2%)
With Maurice Jones-Drew looking like he may miss Week 8, you need to pick up Jennings if he is available.
Without MJD, Jennings becomes a three down back. He has decent running ability, albeit not the ideal option for Jacksonville. But sprinkle in an unimpressive Raiders defense, and this is an attractive match-up.
Jennings will get a ton of touches should MJD be out. Jennings will decide games this weekend.
LaRod Stephens-Howling, RB, ARI (Yahoo! 17%, FOX 5.7%)
I recommend you pick up Stephens-Howling as a contingency should you miss out on Jennings. Following his impressive 20+ point performance last weekend, it looks as though Stephens-Howling will get the majority of action going forward.
Stephens-Howling is your feast or famine type of RB. Yes, he did just run for over 100 yards and 20 points, but he’ll have his share of stinkers for you. Pick him up and play the match-up (not this week vs. San Francisco).
He should be owned in all but the shallowest of formats.
Josh Gordon, WR, CLE (Yahoo! 49%, FOX 21.7)
I’ve mentioned Gordon before. I wish you took my advice then. Gordon has only had 4 TDs in 3 games and has been a lock for double digit points.
Brandon Weeden has looked a lot better in recent weeks. Greg Little has not looked reliable. Basically, Gordon is the only game in town. He’s a very valuable WR and FLEX play.
Brandon Weeden, QB, CLE (Yahoo! 16%, FOX 6.6)
Yes, that’s TWO Cleveland Browns in the article this week.
This selection is conditional. If Josh Freeman or Christian Ponder are still available, grab them first. Chances are though, they aren’t. Weeden is likely the best option you have left. You could do a lot worse.
Dustin Keller, TE, NYJ (Yahoo! 27%, FOX 19.6%)
Was Fred Davis really your only TE? That seems like the only scenario I can think of why you don’t have at least one TE better than Keller. That being said, he might be the best option available.
Keller looked good last weekend dropping 15 fantasy points on the Patriots. However, I don’t have a lot of faith in Keller going forward. He’ll certainly get his touches, but he plays for the Jets. He will have fewer opportunities than other TEs are afforded.
If you’re stuck, you’re stuck. I still don’t love this move.
As far as a defense, none of the widely available defenses really held an edge in my view. After this matchup with New Orleans, I do like the 20% owned Broncos defense. If you’re planning ahead, Weeks 14-16 are against Oakland, Baltimore and Cleveland.
Leave your comments below, I’ll be answering them at 6pm tomorrow evening.
Until then, keep sweet.
