Video: Guy On Jet Pack Delivers Game Ball for Saturday’s TCU-Grambling Game

For those of us who aren’t students or alumni of either school, there was really no reason to watch Saturday’s TCU-Grambling game.

TCU won easily (56-0) and the Grambling athletic department got to deposit a nice, big check. The game had no lasting impact on the national rankings (for TCU) or the SWAC standings (for Grambling).

But the Horned Frogs’ blowout win was notable for two reasons:

  1. TCU coach Gary Patterson won his 110th career game, making him the winningest coach in Horned Frogs football history.
  2. Dan “The Rocketman” Schlund delivered the game ball. On a jet pack.

 

Schlund, a Hollywood stuntman, has had a nice second career as a jet pack pilot. Here’s his highlight reel (from 2009):
