Robert Griffin III and Andrew Luck have been the most talked about rookie QBs this year, and with good reason. But the most intriguing rookie QB has been Russell Wilson of the Seattle Seahawks.
You know the story: he was not a first round pick; he doesn’t have the measurables that impress scouts; he was expected to be a third QB behind newly-signed Matt Flynn or incumbent Tarvaris Jackson.
You also know what happened: he kicked everyone’s ass in Seahawks training camp and became the starter.
Here is a video a friend sent that provides a small window into the thinking and determination Wilson possesses, which has allowed him to overcome seeming deficiencies to just keep producing and winning.
Catch Wilson and the Seahawks tonight on Monday Night Football against the Packers. Our Chris Callaway previewed the game earlier this afternoon. And, of course, regardless of your rooting affiliation, use this to prepare yourself for a night of responsible imbibing.
