The first week of the NFL season provided surprises and story lines that will continue into this week. From RGIII’s dominant debut performance to the possible NFC Championship preview between Green Bay and San Francisco, Week 1 started the the 2012 season out with positive momentum.
Let’s hope Week 2 is even better.

The Bears are going to be much better than most would suspect this season. The additions of Brandon Marshall and Michael Bush will help Jay Cutler take down the weak Green Bay defense on Thursday. - Chiefs-Bills Pick: Both teams had double digit losses in Week 1, but the Bills had a very strong finish. They are fairly evenly matched in this game, but the Bills have far more upside than the Chiefs. Bills -3

These scores do not indicate true talent, considering the Bengals lost to the Ravens, while the Browns lost to Michael Vick, who threw four interceptions, and the Eagles. The Bengals will likely win this game, but the Browns’ defense will keep it under a touchdown. Browns +7

Andrew Luck had a rough day, throwing three interceptions, against the Bears, but he should fare better this week. With such a small spread the game is essentially a toss-up, but look for Andrew Luck to play much better the second time around. Colts +1

- Raiders-Dolphins Pick: This is another matchup of winless teams in Week 2, but the Raiders are significantly better than the Dolphins this year. The Raiders will easily cover this game, while the Dolphins will continue to struggle under Ryan Tannehill. Raiders -3

- Ravens-Eagles Pick: The spread in this game is rather surprising considering the Ravens beat the Bengals by 31, while the Eagles barely defeated the Browns by one point. Michael Vick will likely have a better performance than last week when he threw four interceptions, but the Ravens will still easily win this game. Ravens +3

Cam Newton will have a better performance than he had in the opener, but the Saints are too good of a team to drop antoehr game to a lesser team such as the Panthers. Saints -3

- Texans-Jaguars Pick: Blaine Gabbert and the Jaguars played a great game against Minnesota, but there are no moral victories in the NFL. The Texans are one of the top teams in the AFC, and will improve to 2-0 with an easy win on Sunday. Texans -7.5

- Redskins-Rams Pick: Robert Griffin III took the league by storm last week with his fantastic debut against New Orleans, and will have an easier opponent this week in the Rams. The Rams could not beat the Lions, even though Stafford had a rough day for Detroit. RG III will continue to impress and his Redskins will be 2-0 after Sunday. Redskins -3.5

- Jets-Steelers Pick: After an awful preseason the Jets blew out the Bills by twenty points last week. The Steelers dropped their opener to the Broncos, but are still the favorites in this matchup. It is tough to doubt the Jets after the way they played last week. The Steelers may not deserve to be the favorites in this game, and the Jets will prove that. Jets +6

He is likely to start, but if he struggles look for Matt Hasselbeck to get in the game. The Chargers do not have these issues to worry about and will easily defeat the Titans. Chargers -6

- Lions-49ers Pick: The 49ers are an early favorite to win the NFC and proved that last week by beating Green Bay. While they will likely beat Detroit, the game will be close and under a touchdown difference. Look for Stafford to bounce back after his three interception game last week, but not enough to win the game. Lions +7

- Broncos-Falcons Pick: Peyton Manning was impressive in his Denver debut, defeating Pittsburgh in Denver. Atlanta blew out Kansas City, but Denver will take care of Matt Ryan and the Falcons. Broncos +3
