The late John Facenda, who many people recognize from his iconic work for NFL Films, also broadcasted soccer.
His voice is synonymous with drama. He can be listened to announcing action on the pitch in the video below. The match he is narrating is between the Tampa Bay Rowdies and Miami Toros of the NASL in 1975.
