The Dallas Mavericks captivated NBA fans, those in the city of Dallas especially, with their unexpected run to the NBA title last year. It was the triumph of team over talent, and it was a joy to watch.
This season for the Mavs has been the exact opposite – like the difference between watching a sunrise and a root canal – and the GIF below of owner Mark Cuban pretty much sums up how everyone here in Dallas feels about this year’s edition of the Mavs.

Would things have gone differently this year with Tyson Chandler and J.J. Berea? Well, it would certainly seem impossible for them to be worse.
Considering the fact that everyone considered Chandler to be the glue guy and leader last year, plus a necessary inside presence, and he was named Defensive Player of the Year this year…yeah, I’d say he probably would have made a big difference.
When I saw this GIF, that’s the first thing I thought Cuban might be thinking: well, that decision backfired.
Yep, I’d say so Mark. But hey, on the bright side, your alma mater and Shark Tank are both still awesome!
