Kick off your weekend by enjoying the happiest 78 seconds of video you’ll see today

Sports, even at that their most intense, even when the most is on the line, are essentially trivial.

That doesn’t mean they aren’t worthwhile, or that they don’t fill an important role in society, but sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the 24/7 sports news cycle and lose perspective of topics that really matter, and are really worth celebrating.

A game-winning shot and a walk-off home run are exciting, but they aren’t 1/1000th as wonderful as a troop returning home safely from deployment.

This video sums it up perfectly:

Hat tip to Reddit for the video. Just caught it on the front page.

It’s impossible to watch that video and not feel the emotion. It’s the kind of emotion we all hope every family of every man and woman protecting our freedom gets to feel when a tour of duty has ended or a quick respite from war is possible.

And we can’t ever remember the sacrifices of these men and women, and their families, enough.

One way to remember: share this video with your friends. We donate a portion of all the revenue we make at MSF to Operation Homefront, a great organization that helps our wounded warriors transition back to civilian life once their overseas duty is complete.

You can also go directly to Operation Homefront, or any military charity of your choice, and donate or find out how you give your time, energy, and compassion to let these folks know how much they mean to us.

To any military men and women who read this, thank you. We here at MSF are proud to support you – the best and bravest this nation has to offer – because without you we would not enjoy the lives we do today.

And let’s not ever forget that.
