Have a day Curtis Granderson!
The Yankees outfielder turned in the first truly spectacular individual fantasy day of the 2012 season by going 5-5 with three home runs on Thursday night. He drove in four runs.
The best part? I had him starting in two of my three daily leagues for Thursday.
See…this is why you need to come here daily for these recommendations.
Here are the tournaments I am participating in today:

One thing I am really enjoying is the daily head-to-head tournaments. If you want to play, comment below. We’ll get one set up. It’s easy.

Guys I Like
SP Cole Hamels
I very rarely recommend the most expensive pitcher, but when it’s Cole Hamels – and his 19:1 strikeout to walk ratio – pitching in Petco Park against the Padres, who he has absolutely owned, I’ll tell you to grab him, especially when there are no other obvious choices out there.
OF Adam Jones
Have you been paying attention to how on fire he is? Jones is hitting over .300 and has five home runs already on the young season. He gets to face Angels #5 starter Jerome Williams on Friday. I’ll take it.
3B Michael Young
Mr. Underrated Michael Young gets more love today. He’s hit Rick Porcello well in limited action, and I just have a feeling that the weekend is going to be filled with runs. With Texas, that’s usually a good bet.
OF Giancarlo Stanton
As Stanton’s struggles have continued this season, the cost to acquire him has been reduced. This is good, because he is going to explode soon. He’s on a four game hitting streak and has been walking more, so I say the explosion is right around the corner.
C Jonathan Lucroy
One of the problems with catchers is knowing which ones will start on a given day. Lucroy did not start on Thursday, so he should be good to go Friday at a continued solid value.
Guys I Don’t Like
SP Matt Harrison
In general, I really like Matt Harrison this year from a fantasy perspective, because I’m fairly certain he will produce well above his value. But against the Tigers? I’d prefer someone else today, and there are plenty of good options out there.
SP Matt Moore
This guy has tons of potential, but he’s also walked nine guys in 13 innings this year. Seeing as how he is Daily Joust’s second-highest salaried pitcher, I’d stay away until he proves he’s gotten his control back.
OF Austin Jackson
Jackson’s hot start has faded. Even though he is 5-10 lifetime against Matt Harrison, I want to see him get back to hitting again before I trust him in a single-day lineup.
OF Curtis Granderson
Who suggests sitting a guy the day after he goes 5-5 with 3 HRs? I do. Granderson is 0-11 against Red Sox starter Clay Bucholz, and he changes scenery heading to Fenway Park. Temper the suddenly-raised expectations.
