Video: Montreal Impact Score First Home Goal In Front Of 58,000 Fans

The Montreal Impact score their first goal at home as part of MLS:

In their first game against Vancouver, they failed to score, losing 2-0.

The expansion team had its second game of the season played in front of a record crowd of 58,000 people at the old Olympic dome where the Expos from MLB used to play.

The game ended in a tie, 1-1.

The Impact will play their next home game at their regular stadium in Montreal.  This first MLS home game had lots of additional momentum.  Due to the large crowd expected, the dome was needed to accommodate all the fans.

The Montreal expansion team has struggled to sell season tickets, but maybe this crowd had enough of an IMPACT too motivate fans to come out in numbers for the rest of the season.
