I just updated my post from this morning on President Barack Obama’s NCAA Tournament bracket, but the good stuff got buried at the end.

Here is President Obama’s complete NCAA Tournament bracket, which culminates with North Carolina beating Kentucky for the National Championship, plus the video of him breaking it all down with Andy Katz:

  1. Wow.  Four 1s, Four 2s, Three 3s, Three 4s, a 5, and an 11 in the Sweet Sixteen.
Baylor the only seed non-1/2 seed in the Elite Eight.
And I thought that REPUBLICANS were the elitist party…

    • What’s ironic about everyone killing Obama for making chalky picks is that going chalky is actually the best way to position yourself well in pools. For the most part, it is top seeds that advance – even though the last two Final Fours have been less so, but that’s an anomaly based on history – which is why his bracket did well last year. So while it may be devoid of fun upsets, he’ll probably rank highly in the ESPN rankings once again.

      • Of course. It’s always political. I agree.  He is the consummate politican. No change.

        • As it should be. Everyone who can become president in this day and age has to be “the consummate politician”.  At least he’s employing a winning strategy that puts historical odds in his favor.

  2. The man takes chalk every year.  Always afraid to “offend” someone.  Very conservative.  Why ESPN wastes their time with this (they never did it for Bush or Clinton) is beyond me….well, actually I know exactly why they spend time with him on this.

  3. By the way, were Clinton and Bush (or others before) ever given time on TV to make their picks?  Of course not. ESPN’s agenda is so clear.

  4. My final comment, after some thought, is this:  If ESPN asks him to make picks, Obama should decline. But he’s genetically unable avoid TV because he thinks it is politically advantageous (and he’s a narcissist). The Obama Admin. sought this out, one way or the other, and that’s not his job.

  5. Missouri is usually a swing state, might be a reason he put them in the final four as well. He’s smart that’s why he picks all of the highest seeds. If you want random errant upset picks to make it all the way to the championship just do it in your own bracket. You criticize his all-chalk predictions to cover up the real reason you hate the guy.

That said, I have Creighton in the final four. Let’s go Omaha school. I visited the city a couple weeks ago, fell in love. Cool city.
