The legend of Jeremy Lin became even greater last night. With .5 seconds left in the game against the Raptors, Lin’s shot swished through the basket to break the tie and put the Knicks up 90-87. (See video here.)
As a fan of basketball, all I can say is that this guy is truly unbelievable.
His story has been told all over the web, including here on MSF, which tells of his struggle to get to his current position. From not being recruited by major programs in high school, to getting cut from NBA teams, and even to sleeping on Landry Fields’ couch, his story is unique.
One of the greatest parts of Lin’s rise to fame is the terms his name has coined. From “Linsanity” to “Linsane, the list goes on and on. Here is a (nearly) complete list of those terms inspired by Jeremy Lin.
- “Super LINtendo”
- “All I do is Lin, Lin, Lin”
- “MadiLIN Square Garden”
- “VaLINtine’s Day”
A few of my own, which may already exist:
- “Linsane in the Membrane”
- “Forgive me Father for I have LINned”
- “He’s on fire, open the LINdow!”
I try. Feel free to ridicule my own LINisms, or add your own. The comment section awaits…
