No video that I know of but Florida State vs. FAMU in 1991 was Cincy-Xavier 20 years prior. Here's the clincher, though … the next game was FSU's first ACC game, at UNC, which the Noles won without Doug Edwards and Sam Cassell.

If you've never seen the NC Central and NC A&T brawl from 1990, it makes all of these look like WWE matches. More than 200 people were in the fight and then they didnt play for years …

My UTEP Miners also had a tangle with the thugs from Wyoming back in1996. Not exactly a brawl, since only three punches were thrown and only two landed, but both were pretty good shots. Check it out below:

UTEP also had a tussle with the BYU Cougars way back in 1985. The elbow to the face of a UTEP player at center court unfortunately isn't caught on camera, but Kent Lockhart of UTEP took exception…

Hostilities between BYU and anyone in the old WAC (UTEP, UNM, WYO, etc.) were commonplace back in the day…

This is THE worst brawl in basketball history period. I am an A&T alum and we are STILL ashamed of that fight. ESPN Sports Center showed it ad nausea and hurt the reputation of both HBCU's. This rivalry dates back to the 50's but we didn't play each other for a decade until 2001 after that fiasco. Folks it was REALLY bad.

The announcers for the Missouri – kansas game (fight)? Jack Buck and Harry Carey…

  • Curious Gopher

Not agreeing what the Gopher players did, but rumors are that Witte and other Buckeyes had several racial slurs earlier. I don't know if this is true.

NCA&T Vs NCCU during 1988-1989 season. I was 2 years removed from graduating A&T and my cousin was the starting point guard for Central that season. I also knew another guy, Kev Thompson , from Central and it was a brutal fight shown on national tv. Skirmishes had occrred off court kind of often over the years due to the hatred but this took it to another level. Fans, players and coaches went ballistic. My cousin lost his front tooth from the incident and numerous others got hurt. We had a fight with Tennessee State the previous year and I later befriended Kordell Johnson who played at TSU at that time. I told him where I went to school and it nearly cost me a friendship! I have never been proud of any of the incidents but I do know the game of basketball has always been highly personal in North Carolina.
