Another day of football is right around the corner, with a game that got bumped from primetime, Colts vs. Patriots, because of the lack of talent from one of the teams. Monday features a game that should have been bumped, with the 4-7 Chargers taking on the 3-8 Jaguars in a game that is sure to be anything but exciting.

Enough ranting, here are some fantasy football tips for this week.

A friend of mine passed along this note to me yesterday, but I forgot to post about it. Seeing as how the Big Ten Championship Game is tomorrow though, I figured I better get something out now or else I’d have forever kept this useful information from all of the loyal Naptown denizens who frequent MSF.

As we do every week, we are tackling your start/sit questions in this comment section all the way through Sunday when we host our pre-kickoff live chat (bookmark this link). And, of course, Andy Bottoms outlined a number of players you should be scouring your waiver wire to attain.

Now, via our friends at PlayThisGuy.com, comes this rundown of player rankings for Week 13. Instead of us just giving you what we think, this gives you a chance to see what the fantasy football analyst community at large things about players heading into Week 13.

The Top 10 Tebowest Moments of Tim Tebow

Perhaps no NFL player is as polarizing as Tim Tebow, and what he does between the lines of the football field isn’t the only contributing factor to the mixed feelings America possesses for the Denver Broncos’ quarterback.

Tebow causes hysteria among football traditionalists because of his unorthodox (read: bad) throwing mechanics and the Broncos’ need to create a simplified option offense for him to be successful.  Conversely, his uncanny leadership abilities and penchant for performing at his absolute best in the most important moments has convinced many that he will be a success simply through hard work, will power, and a positive attitude.

By virtue of his devout Christianity, Tebow inspires intense conversations about the role of faith in sports, and that is a dividing factor amongst many fans. Right or wrong, many people’s judgements of Tim Tebow the football player, are forged from their opinions of Tim Tebow the person.

Plus, let’s face it – there are legions of people who want to dislike Tebow simply for the success he had experienced and his seemingly perfect life.  And then there are people (me included, at times) who just like to go against the grain for the sake of staying off the bandwagons of the sports world.

Though we can argue for days about Tebow’s long-term prospects as an NFL quarterback and whether his overt displays of his faith should have a place in our sports experience, there is no doubt that Tebow is a very talented, very charismatic guy.  He seems like a truly nice person who does his best to lead the best personal life he can.  With that in mind, I decided to simultaneously poke a little fun and honor the character and football acumen of one Timothy Richard Tebow.

Here are the Top 10 Tebowest Moments of Tim Tebow:

Huge hat tip to certified Friend of MSF Thunder Treats who just tweeted out a link to the video below. His tweet said simply “I got chills watching this.”

I had to click, and I got chills watching it too. As will you, I bet (if you haven’t seen it already).

Alabama-LSU Rematch Should Decide BCS National Championship Regardless of What Happens This Weekend

Let’s all pretend for a moment that college football is about more than pageantry, tradition, and money.

Let’s pretend that the BCS system was created in order to determine the best team in the country.

I know…it’s quite a leap…but try and follow me along on this extended hypothetical.

If the BCS is supposed to pit the two best teams in the nation against each other in the national championship game, then this year, it will have worked if LSU and Alabama end up meeting to decide the BCS National Championship.

Georgia-LSU

Just like so many times before in the past, this year’s SEC championship features a team that is one win away from playing in the national championship game. All eyes will be on this game when #1 LSU takes their perfect record to the Georgia Dome to take on the #14 Georgia Bulldogs.

Since 2007, the winner of this game has gone on to win the national championship and the LSU Tigers would like to continue that streak.  Georgia is one of the hottest teams in college football, winning 10 straight, and they will look to end the Tigers undefeated season.

Here is what you can expect from these two elite teams from the SEC.

Vegas baby. Vegas.

A few months back, I was given the awesome opportunity to meet Matthew Hanson – national hero.

During that day, I also got to meet Matt Kenseth, Rodney Atkins, and watch the race at Richmond from unbelievable views.  Crown Royal took me behind the pits, underneath the track, into the grandstand, and into their personal suite throughout the night.

Well, this weekend, my adventure continues.

Actually, Jerod Morris has gone Jay Cutler and benched himself. He hasn’t hinted himself as being out for the season (like Jay has), but he has taken his lumps picking games ATS and has called on me to pinch-hit this week.

The 10 Greatest NFL End Zone Celebrations Of All-Time

A couple weeks back, Trevor Stewart laid out four of his all-time favorite end zone celebrations. His list included Joe Horn calling his pops, Aaron Rodgers’ championship belt, and Randy Moss’ disgusting act.

Since Trevor’s post, end zone celebrations – and the inevitable debates about them – have re-entered the general NFL discourse thanks to Stevie Johnson mocking Plaxico Burress after a touchdown last Sunday. That led to Bob Costas decrying our eroding culture in his halftime SNF monologue.

Though Costas may find the end zone expressions of Stevie J and his ilk to be icky, I disagree.
