I’m Pat Suley, one of the occasional contributors (and Canadian correspondent) here at Midwest Sports Fans. And for the month of November I’ve been participating in “Movember” where people grow mustaches to raise money for prostate cancer.
I have decided to fashion my glorious lipjacket in the style of baseball’s greatest ‘stache, that of Hall-Of-Famer Rollie Fingers.
My goal was to raise $341, one dollar for every save Fingers recorded in his career. The response and support have exceeded my expectations though as I’ve nearly met that in only two weeks.
To help raise even more money, I’m offering up a chance to win a throwback Rollie Fingers jersey to anyone that donates $10. So if you donate $30 to the cause, you get your name entered three times to win one of these two beauties:
To donate and enter, visit http://mobro.co/Suley and click the “Donate To Me” button on the left side. It will ask you if you want to attach a message, so I ask you to include your email address (you can make the message private so only I see it) so if you win I can contact you and find out which jersey you would like, in what size and where to send it.
Where else can you get a sweet jersey for as little as $10, get a tax receipt, and genuinely do something good all at once? Any support you can send will be greatly appreciated.
Once again, my page is at http://mobro.co/Suley and I leave you with an unnecessarily large picture of my mustache in all its current glory.
