Enough with this “Pay Forte” stuff. It’s getting pretty old, and I believe it has no real merit.
So what if the guy has nearly 50% of the offense’s total yards and leads the team in both receiving and rushing yards and gets paid less than a million dollars a year? Trust in Jerry Angelo. He knows best.
Angelo has brought us greats such as Rex Grossman and Kordell Stewart. Angelo built a team that almost brought home a Super Bowl victory, which in Chicago is a HUGE thing because Chicago hasn’t seen a championship since the Bulls in 1990’s.
Don’t tell me “The Sox won the World Series in 2005, and the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010,” because no one takes hockey seriously and no one really considers the Sox as the real Chicago baseball team.
Instead, fans should rally around a much better and honorable slogan. “Pay Jay!”
Besides, Jay is the man who actually hands the ball off to Forte. No Jay = no Forte.
Jay will only make $9.5 million this season, a season where he hasn’t thrown one single interception (don’t believe the official NFL stat or anyone else that tells you otherwise), has said “F**k you” to Mike Martz, and has rekindled his love life.
In retrospect, Cutler has done everything the Bears expected him to do, and yet they continue to under-appreciate his talents.
I can’t imagine and don’t want to live in world were such an injustice exists. Pay Jay now!
