Fantasy Football Week 6 Player Rankings at QB, RB, WR, TE, K, D/ST

Yesterday, Jon Washburn posted his player rankings (for the rest of the season, not Week 6-specific) and discussed the fantasy potential of the new guy playing quarterback for the Broncos (what’s his name???). This came on the heels of his weekly start/sit column and Andy Bottoms’ always excellent waiver wire pickups piece.

Today, via the folks at, we bring you player rankings specific to Week 6 at QB, RB, WR, TE, D/ST, and K, as well as another opportunity – because we love you all so much (and because they throw a little money our way for our time) – to participate in a freeroll tournament with real money prizes at stake.

  1. Joe Flacco or Andy Dalton?

    • Zach Harbison says:

Stick with Flacco. The Texans could still put up some points and make this a tough game. Dalton is going to be handing it off most of the day and letting his RBs tear up the terrible Indy run D.

  2. eViL-PORCUPINE says:

    Who would you start?
Shonn Greene or Jahvid Best (PPR)

Also… do you see Knowshon Moreno having fantasy value (more than a handcuff to McGahee) now that Tebow is at the helm?

    • eViL-PORCUPINE says:

Oh Greene, Best or Colston PPR

    • eViL-PORCUPINE says:

OH…. Greene, Best or Colston (Flex spot) in PPR

    • Zach Harbison says:

Go with Best over all of them. Best has proven he can break off for one big play even against stout Ds. I'm not sitting him until he proves that wrong. Both have tougher match-ups, and Greene has only had 1 game. I just don't respect him yet. Do I trust he will get touches? Sure, but have to see more production.

I don't think that Moreno is done for the year, but I also don't think that many people in your league will be on that side with me. If you don't have a top 6 QB, Tebow is worth grabbing. I believe he could put together some good fantasy numbers. Plus you have the added bonus of him getting goal line carries, which takes down the value or Moreno and McGahee. He's worth the roster spot and right now Moreno isn't.

  3. AvANGELAvA says:

Torn between the Bengals and Vikings D/ST this week, any recommendations?

    • Both are good options, so you have that going for you. I'd lean to Minnesota because they should be able to get plenty of sacks against that awful Bears' O-Line. Plus, you have the extra fun of it being the Sunday night game. (And yes, I'll sometimes use that as a tie-breaker, because having players in the primetime games is fun.)

  4. You made various good points there. I did a search on the subject and found most people will have the same opinion with your blog.
