Video: Father drops kid to go after fly ball then catches evil eye from his wife

This is one of the more hilarious videos you’re likely to see on the Interwebs today…and we can laugh at it because no one got hurt, except maybe the rather impulsive dad who made the split second decision that going after a fly ball was more important than protecting his kid.

But don’t worry…his wife lets him know how she feels about it.

The best part of the video is the end, when the guy’s wife glares at him like he’s an idiot as he makes a futile attempt to explain himself, all while the announcers laugh in the background.

I have a feeling it’s going to be a rough few days for this poor guy. And the worst part? He didn’t even catch the fly ball. Just a bad few minutes for him all around. (But at least he’ll go viral!)

    Well, it could've been worse. Imagine if SHE'd dropped the kid. No sympathy for the "poor gal" for that.

    Did ya notice? none of these comments and almost nothing in the story mention the child. The worst part? Not getting the ball!? Are you kidding? Shame on the announcers for laughing. The child could have sustained a fatal head injury or a broken neck causing permanent paralysis. It's called "Child Endangerment"; last time I checked, that's a crime.

    To anyone who thinks it's amusing – I don't want any of you moaning that this generation is clueless. Few people are teaching them how to live.

    For the record, the child was fine…otherwise this would not have been an "entertaining" video at all. But that doesn't mean it was dangerous, you're right.

    Thank God the kid was not injured. The kid falling is far from funny, I did not hear the annoucers do not know what humored them. However, if you do not think the wife's actions were hilarious you are a moron and do not belong on the internet. Being a dad I can say that guy not only knows her is dead meat but he feels like crap.

    I am no expert video analyst and was definitely not there but from a dads point of view if you watch the trajectory of the ball it looked like it was inline to hit the girl and look at his facial expression just before its of concern not "oh a foul ball let me get it"… it looks like he was trying to prevent it from happening.. Take another look and you might get a different perspective of it all…
