Update: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cardinals are set to sign Larry Fitzgerald to an eight-year, $120 million contract extension that includes close to $50 million guaranteed. The guaranteed money is the most ever given to a non-quarterback, and makes Fitzgerald the league's highest-paid receiver for a second time.

Update: Brady Quinn completed 10-of-16 passes for 130 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in Denver's preseason game against the Bills on Saturday. Quinn came off the bench before Tim Tebow who was limited to just two fourth-quarter pass attempts, completing one for 10 yards while also taking a sack.

Update: Titans running back Chris Johnson left Nashville Sunday without meeting with Titans management. Johnson was only in town to attend to personal business, so he never made it to Titans headquarters. According to NFL Network's Michael Lombardi, Johnson's agent sent a proposal before Larry Fitzgerald landed $50 million guaranteed.

Every parent wants to pass along his or her interests and passions to the next generation. Parents who are sports fans dream of sitting with their son and/or daughter at the ballpark on a late summer evening, teaching their offspring how to keep score and splitting a bag of popcorn. Way back in February, USA Today’s 2011 MLB Preview Magazine published a lengthy piece by yours truly, whereupon I rendered my thoughts on who the most over and underrated players in the game were as we approached the new campaign.
I figured I might as well do monthly updates on these “predictions,” so as to capriciously praise or condemn myself.

Update: Chad Ochocinco caught two passes for 14 yards and a touchdown against the Bucs in the Patriots' second preseason game. Ochocinco started opposite Wes Welker, with Deion Branch. He did take a big hit earlier in the game coming across the middle, and did not look totally in sync with Tom Brady, but he did find the end zone.
